The Vision

This project based in Plymouth was designed to be one of the most efficient energy from waste plants in Europe. It provides an alternative option to landfill for local businesses and significantly reduces its CO2 emissions by replacing fossil fuels with waste.

The building was designed to be a modern and attractive building to provide a focal point within the local area. A number of Kingspan fabrications were incorporated into the design to help achieve this aim.

Coordinated Flashings

Kingspan flashings combine functionality, performance and true aesthetics to complete any building envelope. They are suitable for both roof and wall applications.

The colours of the flashings incorporated into this project were carefully matched against the wall panels, creating a clean and flawless aesthetic. Kingspan flashings are available in all standard pre-coat finishes, including Kingspan XL Forté, Kingspan Spectrum, Kingspan Altaris, Kingspan Destral and Kingspan Textured.

Kingspan flashings are a truly bespoke, secret-fix solution for building envelopes. They are available in lengths of up to 6m and can be curved smoothly or precisely folded to suit any application. They are a truly flexible architectural solution.

Total Compatibility

Kingspan offer a range of bespoke top hats to complement Kingspan insulated wall panel systems. The top hats are manufactured from high quality aluminium and steel, and they are compatible with the entire range of Kingspan insulated wall panels.

The Top Hats on this energy from waste centre in Plymouth have been vertically laid and a slimline dimension has been selected for seamless integration.
