#1. You are the driver.

  This is the most important rule

  It’s your bus, your trip

  People have no say where your bus is going   You are driving

  You are making the choices

  You can change directions

  What does being the driver of your bus mean to you?

#2. Desire, Vision, & Focus

  Desire – to wish or long; want   Makes you hungry to see your success

  Vision – The power of seeing; foresight   Looking ahead at the goal and making it real

  Focus – Adjustment of lens for clearer image   Block out distractions and obstacles

  What is the first thing you want to do to make a positive change?

  Some will get on and some won’t….

  You cannot drive anyone else’s bus

  Do you believe that some are more enthusiastic than others? Why?

#6. No Energy Vampires

  There are people who increase your energy and people who drain your energy

  Energy Vampires will suck the life out of you and your goals

  Be strong and do not allow negativity

  How will you handle an Energy Vampire (parent, student, colleague, etc.)

#7. Enthusiasm attracts people

  There will always be doubters and people who will tell you it can’t be done.

  Sometime there will be Energy Vampires on your bus that you can’t kick off.

  You have to deal with them.

  Positive energy is like muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.

  It becomes a habit.

#8. Love your passengers

  You can’t change the past. Let it go. Create the future.

  The goal is not to be better than anyone else but rather be better than you were yesterday.

  Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Allow people to do what they do best.

  Make time for them, listen to them, recognize them, serve them, and bring out the best in them.

  Purpose is the ultimate fuel for our journey though life.

  Purpose keeps it fresh.

  Purpose is what life is all about.

  Purpose is found in service.

  Identify 2-3 of your purposes for the upcoming school year?

#10. Have fun & Enjoy the ride

  Don’t focus on the small instead of living large.

  Don’t compare the success of your bus to other buses.
