Establishment of the Agency

• First, and only, regional energy agency in Norway supported by EU (Intelligent Energy Europe Program 2009-12)

• Official opening 1st of September 2009

• Co-founded and owned by Hedmark County Council, Oppland County Council and Eidsiva Energi (regional energy company)

About the Energy Agency

• Promote:- Energy efficiency- Increased use of renewable energy- Renewable energy production

• Covering the Inland Region (Hedmark County and Oppland County) in the South-East part of Norway (380 000 inhabitant)

• An independent, autonomous and non-profit organization

• Be a supplement to existing playersand a regional driving force

What do we do?

• ‘Driving force’ within energy efficiency – Stimulating, guiding and helping businesses, citizens

and municipalities of the region to make informed and considered choices when it comes to energy efficient and renewable/climate friendly transport, buildings and energy production.

• ‘Project management’ of own projects• Financed by public and private institutions

• ‘Facilitator’ for other’s activities and projects

• Setting up, organising and disseminating results
