    Natraj Vaddadi has nearly 30 years of professional experience spanning diverse portfolios for large multinationals across petroleum, automobile and the ITES industries. He started off his career as a logging engineer working for Geoservices, France. Since then, has handled various assignments including independent charge of Human Resources, overseeing the entire gamut of recruitment, training and manpower deployment.

    His specialization is in learning & development, mud logging and well site geology operations. He has over 20 years of experience in training technical, commercial, professional as well as leadership Skills. Over the years he has trained more than 500 personnel in basic oil-field operations, petroleum geology, mud logging and advanced mud logging systems through company induction programs.

    In addition to his experience in the oil field, he has also worked in senior positions in other industries. He has been a resident trainer (India) for PE international, UK and also the India Country head for IDN Spa, a Fiat group company, and one of Europe's largest consulting and training Company. He has also been the Vice president of Learning & Development for one of the world's largest off-shoring Services Company Genpact. Presently he is Head Learning & Development in the Petroleum E & P division of Reliance Industries Ltd.

    A certified trainer with several multinationals, he has run over 350 courses and trained around 7000 participants on a wide gamut of topics including Selling skills, Customer focused selling, Customer service, Business management, Leadership & Business planning, Innovation, Personal effectiveness, Team building, Quality etc., for large multinationals like for Ford India, Fiat India, Mitsubishi, Case New Holland, Genpact, etc.

    He is also a Certified Professional Coach from the International Coach Academy, Australia in the area of Life, Leadership & Executive Coaching. He also has Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principle and Practice of Competence Assessment (QCF) from ABE, UK.

    He also teaches post graduate courses in Drilling engineering and Production Operations at University of Pune(Wadia College). Besides this, his other interestsare in the areas of individual and organizational performance improvement.

    VVN, as he is popularly known, brings in a wealth of HR experience gained over two and a half decades of working in the Oil and Gas sector covering 3 large Corporations viz; BP Plc, Castrol India Ltd and Madras Refineries Ltd (an old AMOCO refinery) in India.

    An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur, VVN worked initially with MRL for over 9 years in different facets of HR and ER in the Refinery. He was an integral part of the Project team which set up the 0.5mtpa green field petroleum refinery in Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu.

    He later joined Castrol India Ltd which manufactures and markets automotive and industrial lubricants in India and handled varied leadership positions for about 15 years. During his tenure, he supported various new business initiatives in India like the Castrol 2 wheeler retail service, BP Alternative Energy businesses like Wind, Solar, Bio mass and Bio Fuels. He was also the HR Manager for the Lubricants Global Supply Chain function across Asia-Pacific and has also supported the Lubricant business in Pakistan.

    Since July 2011, VVN is the Head of HR for BP's Upstream and Gas business in India where he provided HR leadership to build the Upstream organization in India by bringing key talent from within BP as well as through a focussed external resourcing strategy. VVN is on the India Upstream Leadership team and is also a member of the India Country Advisory Forum.

    Responsibility

    L Balasundaram is Vice President Human Resources at BG India and is responsible for leading the Human Resources (HR) function across BG's upstream businesses.

    Business Experience

    Bala joined BG Group in 2005. Prior to him becoming Vice President HR for BG India in 2011, Bala has worked at BG Group headquarters at Reading, UK and at Gujarat Gas Company where he was Director - HR for 3 years. While in UK, he was managing the Capability Development function for Europe and Central Asia Region. Prior to joining BG, Bala has worked in different HR roles at Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

    As a HR professional he believes in creating a positive culture in the organisation where people can flourish and strive to realise their potential. His areas of interest include Leadership, Management Development and Executive Coaching.

    Bala is a double Post Graduate with Masters Degree in Management Studies as well as in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management. He is also a trained Executive Coach.

  • HEMANG DESAI, 39, is an astute HR Professional, a certified Trainer, Orator and Consultant having Post Graduation in Social Work, PG Diploma each in Training & Development and Psychotherapy & Counseling.

    He has hands-on experience of over 17 years in managing Strategic HR interventions with some of the most esteemed organizations like Reliance Industries Ltd, GSPC Group, ESSAR Group, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd, and Torrent Research Centre. He has hands-on experience with a blend of both Plant HR as well as Corporate HR.

    He is an acclaimed Human Engineer as well as a successful Management Trainer with his sound interpersonal skills and strong background in Human dynamics. He has to his credit several papers and articles published in some of the renowned HR journals as well as popular newspapers. He has presented papers at several International/ National conferences including Petrotech, 2010.

    He is a Life Member of National HRD Network, National Institute of Personal Management (NIPM), Associate Member of All India Management Association & a Member of Indian Society of Training & Development (ISTD), Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (IAAP) and Indian Society of Applied Behavioural Science (ISABS). He has recently featured in Asia's Who's Who by HRM Asia Journal, Singapore.

    With a keen interest in teaching and his strong academic orientation, he has been associated as a visiting faculty with various universities and institutes of national / international repute.

    Last worked as Group HR Head / VP HR of Reime, a telecom infrastructure MNC, based out of group HQ at Nairobi. Responsibility included over all HR Strategy for Reime's operations in 16 sub-Saharan African countries and Middle East.

    Currently working as VP HR & Corporate Communications in Mahanagar Gas a CGD company supplying Piped Natural Gas to over 7 lac households and CNG to over 4 and a half lac vehicles in Mumbai and its suburbs.

  • Shri D. V. Shastry is presently working as General Manager (HRD) at GAIL (India) Ltd., New Delhi. His professional qualifications include the degree in Mech.Engg. with M.Tech. in Energy Systems Engg. From IIT, Bombay and the post graduate level Diploma in Management.

    He has a long experience of 30 years in the Oil and Gas industry. His work experience includes Project Management, Operations & Maintenance of Gas processing complex, Training and Human Resource Development.

    His work experience includes preconstruction, construction & commissioning activities pertaining to the first mega project of GAIL namely, HBJ (now known as HVJ) gas pipeline, setting up of LPG Recovery Plant, Vijaipur (M.P.). He also headed the prestigious Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline of GAIL as Project Manager and the project was successfully commissioned, ahead of schedule. He is one of the founder members of GAIL Training institute which was established in the year 1997, where he made his contribution as core faculty member then moved to Projects and Operations Management and thereafter, functioned as the Head of the Corporate Training Institute of GAIL.

    Shri Shastry is involved in the activities pertaining to Human Resource Development, Talent acquisition, review and implementation of various HR interventions like Performance Management System, Senior Management Development Centre, Policy reviews etc., overall skill development to meet the emerging requirement in the Oil & Gas sector, launch and implementation of new initiatives like Mentoring, Customized Talent Development programs for Senior Management etc., knowledge and experience sharing for skill development of professionals from other organizations by opening up and organizing specialized programs for external organizations and earning revenue. Under his leadership, highly specialized certificate courses have been launched under license agreement with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Some of his other initiatives include launch of e-Learning Portal e-Gyan Prawah for Sr. Level Executives of GAIL, e-Learning Module on City Gas Distribution, Knowledge sharing sessions through video conferencing, Knowledge sharing portal on Intranet, GAIL's unique initiative GAIL Women Employees Award Scheme (GWEAS), active involvement in Industry-Academia interface, Nodal Agency for Oil & Gas (NAFOG) under Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas etc.

He was also the leader of the task force constituted by Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for identifying the skills gaps for workmen in City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector and design of curriculum for addressing such gaps.

    He is a member on the Board of Studies of All India Management Association (AIMA).

    Ms. Veena Swarup is the Director (HR) of our Company. She holds a

    Masters Degree in Business Administration from Lucknow University. She

    has 30 years of experience in the field of human resource in the petroleum

    and natural gas sector. Prior to joining EIL, Ms. Swarup was with ONGC

    since 1983, where she headed the Performance Management and

    Benchmarking Group, which steers the performance contracts and service

    level agreements between board level and unit chiefs. Her other

    assignments included setting up the ONGC Energy Center, Head HR at

    various units of ONGC, policy making and negotiations with collectives.

    She also headed the SAP-HR Project for ONGC. She was deputed to MRPL

    as a change agent to initiate aligning the Company to public sector

    requirements. She has also had a stint with the Directorate General of

    Hydrocarbons as the Head of Corporate Affairs and Human Resources. -

  • M/s Enlighten is headed by Mr. Sanjay Rao who is an IIM Calcutta graduate

    having 16+ years of work experience in the Corporate and Education

    sector. He has worked in Senior positions with reputed MNC's like British

    Gas, Ingersoll rand, Levi Strauss India, Exide Technologies and Acropetal

    Technologies in varied functions of Supply chain, Sales and Marketing

    Operations, Strategy and E-commerce. He has diverse experience in

    Engineering, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas and IT sector which helps him

    understand the nuances of each area and requirements from the industry.

    Moreover, he has been associated in training the PDPU students for

    Aptitude, Group Discussions and Personal Interview sessions through his

    relationship with Endeavor Careers Pvt. Ltd and has an established positive

    relationship with the students. This is coupled with his excellent hold on

    training students for higher study Aptitude examinations viz. CAT, GRE and

    GMAT.

    Sanjib has over 28 years of experience in HR, L&D and OD areas. His experience throughout has been in the Oil & Gas Industry. Having started his career in the leading Oil & Gas company Oil India Limited ( OIL) in 1985 has moved on in his career since then in various challenging positions across leading public and private Oil & Gas organizations.

    He has specialized himself in HR Strategy, OD and L&D areas leading and managing diverse challenging assignments in the said areas. He successfully led the start up HR and OD initiatives in Indraprastha Gas Limited as Head of HR & CC. He had distinguished career spread in Oil India Limited for over 10 years including leading HR in a offshore project of the company. As part of the GAIL Corporate Policy Group, he was exposed to strategic HR aspects. He was a project associate with leading consulting firm Ms AT Kearney for developing the GAIL's Vision and Values.

    Sanjib, led the L&D department in RIL ( E&P) and thereafter served Jubilant Energy as their Head HR.

    Sanjib, promoted his own consulting company SS Petro Cons India. The company has specialized in organizing and conducting technical training for the Oil & Gas professionals. The company has to its credit over 60 workshops and seminars.

    Sanjib has been successful in consulting areas. He has assisted number of Oil & Gas private companies in HR, OD and related areas. This list includes Geo Petrol International, Canoro Resources, Techno Canada, Green Fuels Energy Solutions ( P) Limited, Prize Petroleum , Cairn India Limited etc.

    Sanjib finds time to periodically interact with students in Amity University, RGIPT, PDPU.

    He also works on Organizational Development areas including leading and facilitating Assessment / Developmental Centers.
