A I S F O R … Ambulance Ride

When I was 7, I had to ride in an ambulance because I couldn’t breath. It was a fine night until I stopped breathing. I remember this night perfectly. I woke up drenched in sweat. My throat was sticky and it felt like someone was stabbing it with a sharp knife. I got out of bed and got some water. I went back into my room but I just couldn’t fall asleep. I then got back up and went into my parents room and woke my mom up. I told her that I couldn't breath very well. My mom shot out of bed and dialed 911. In a couple of minutes, a fire truck and an ambulance came probably waking up the whole neighborhood. I sat on the sofa for a minute while the medic came inside. My mom picked me up and carried me out to the ambulance. She dropped me off and told me that she would be following the ambulance in her car. When she left the driver shut the doors and we started to go to the hospital. I remember coughing into some sort of gas while something was being put into my arm. I guess that I fell asleep because when I woke up I was in a white room with white and yellow tiles. A pillow with cats on it was under my head. This was weird because I was supposed to go to the hospital the next day to get my tonsils removed, but they let me go home before they took them out. I thought that it would have been easier if they just took them out while I was there.

B I S F O R … … Beach

This summer, my grandma, mom, sister, and I went to the beach, Oak island, for a whole week. My sister and I went swimming every day. We went to Southport, the town and walked around looking at the shops. On day, when we were swimming, a little shark was swimming towards us. At first, my mom and I didn’t believe my sister. But when I went back to the water, I saw its dorsal fin. I jumped back, startled. Then, I ran towards our red, orange, and yellow umbrella. My heart was racing.

E I S F O R … Emerald Pointe water park-

My dad, sister and I went to Emerald Pointe on summer on vacation. It was very, very fun. My favorite thing that we did there was swim in the wave pool. The only bad part about that was that when I was swimming, I accidentally cut my toe on something in the pool. I had to go to the first aid booth and a lot of people were in there and it took up a lot of my water park time!

When I went to universal studios in Florida, my mom took me to harry potter world. The castle, Hogwarts, was very, very detailed. I should know, my mom and I stood in line for at least an hour, with nothing to do but stare at the castle walls. We were waiting in line to go on a rollercoaster that was inside the castle. The rollercoaster, Dragon Challenge, was amazing! It was so much fun! It probably was the biggest rollercoaster ive ever been on.

Miracle Milewhen I went to Chicago for a wedding, my mom, aunt, cousin, dad, sister, and I went to walk around miracle mile for a while. My sister was the one who really wanted to go. She wanted to see all of the shops. I had no idea that it was going to be below freezing when we were there so I wasn’t dressed properly. I didn’t even have a hat and we were there for at least three hours. I was cold, but I still had a great time with my family.

N I S F O R … New York

New York. Wow. I could hardly believe it when my grandma told me that we were going to go to New York to see Cirque Du Soleil. My grandma lives in Maryland so we drove up to New York in approximately 4 hours. My cousin, Lena, also came with my sister and I. It took us along time to find our hotel, the Cosmopolitan. When we finally found it, it was time to go to Cirque Du Soleil! When we got to the Radio City Music Hall, where cirque du Soleil was performing, my grandma got the tickets and we went inside the gorgeous hall. All of these people were there, clowns, magicians, even people in chicken outfits! The show was incredible, and my favorite part was when this girl came out and started painting in blue sand. She was so good, her pictures looked like they were painted with a brush on canvas

Q IS FOR… Quote- “Success is doing ordinary things,

extraordinarily well.” –Jim Rohn I really like this quote because I always

thought of success doing something really well, I never thought of it like this. This quote really sums up our unit about finding the extrodinary in the ordinary.

In fifth grade, my mom, my sister, my grandma and I went to Walt Disney world in Florida. It was very fun! My sister and I couldn’t stop riding Space Mountain! My mom hates roller coasters so she only went on it once. We took my grandma to see the country Bear Jamboree, and she really liked it. The mechanical bears were cool. Overall, this trip was a very awesome family vacation.

Z I S F O R … Zoo

When I was younger, I went to a petting zoo with my mom and sister. There was a camel there and when I went up to the enclosure to see it better the camel opened its mouth and it licked my face. The camels tongue was very long and green and gross. After that, we went to go see the goats. One of the goats was eating my shirt. I had no idea what was happening and before my mom realized what was going on, most of my shirt was in the goats mouth. I was very disgusted that day.
