Between now and early January 2016, we need extra help in our distribution centre in Kendal. Our distribution team are responsible for picking and despatching stock against very tight deadlines for our home shopping department, our 69 retail stores throughout the UK and our overseas franchised stores.These are manual jobs, therefore you need to be able to reach and bend to pick items from shelving and pallets. You need to be conscientious and accurate, with good maths abilities and basic keyboard skills. You should be self-motivated as well as a good team player and be able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment.Roles involve operating order picking machines however full training will be given so no previous experience is required.Contracts available are full-time 39 hours (over 5 full days including one weekend day each week), part-time 32 hours (over 4 full days including one weekend day each week) and 35 hours, nights (on a 4 on 4 off rota system).Day shifts are operational between 7am-11pm every day, apart from Sunday (currently 7am-7pm). Your days and hours of work will be rota’d to include late and early shifts and we may require 6am starts as we get busier.
