Emma's Summer Yoga Newsletter 2017
Hello Lovely Yogis, Summer is finally here-hurrah! It is time to get out
and about on the beach, in the forest, in the park, in your garden and
make like the forest Ashram Yogis- watch nature, feel yourself a part
of the Prana around you, the susurration of the leaves, the shiny
ladybirds in the sweet smelling grass, the beams of warm surya (we
hope), brush the cobwebs off your mat and get Yoga- ing outdoors
Here is news of all things Yogic and otherwise both indoors and
outdoors…
Sirsana in the park…
Race for Life, Lister Park, Bradford, May 2017
Proud medal holders!
This was such an inspiring day: my brave mum decided she wanted to
walk the race days after getting the all-clear so we thought we would
join her and help to fund raise. Lots of women ran, walked and wheeled
around the course including twins who were in recovery and lots of
colourful Hindu ladies in pink sarees handing out samosas-mmm! Our
competitive spirit kicked in and we came top 20 out of 1600, not too
shabby- we then tracked down mum and walked the rest of the way in
the sunshine. We would all like to thank those of you who donated to
our charity page and left us a message- we raised £250 which was
amazing.
My mum will be putting in a guest appearance at my Yoga-in-the-
Meadow event on the 1st July as she would like to meet my students and
say thank you for all your support- more of that later…
Liz Lark
The Purple River Workshop with Liz Lark, Leeds, June 2017
This was a fabulously creative workshop with Liz with a focus on the
Vagus nerve. Using Vinyasa Krama, Liz led us in a 3 hour journey
through Yin and Yang, Qui-gong, Soma, Kriya, Pranayama and
Meditation to a blissful relaxation at the end where she sang mantra
and directed us to images of butterflies in her artwork at the front of
the shala. She gave us both a big hug and even mentioned my retreats
with Free Spirit! Look out for some of the things I learned in upcoming
classes….
Youtube Channel-update…
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback about the classes and for
your donations which have gone towards batteries and chargers.. It has
been great to be able to offer these classes and know that you are
able to keep up your practice whether I am home or away! We do have
to continually update equipment and are currently saving for a new
camera so we can store more classes at a time. We would welcome any
donation you can make into my donation pot which I have in my classes
and workshops if you have been using the classes and enjoying them.
