2. A flood is when a huge amount of rainfall falls and creates
piles of water emerging to escape, but because there is so much
rain the drains always clog up and all the water is unable to
escape.
3. This is caused by huge amounts of rainfall which is unsafe
to drive, walk and especially swim in because if more rainfall
starts to come, the river made by rain can pull you in with it and
you cannot get yourself out. How is it formed?
4. After a flood occurs, it can be affected very badly. There
can be different type of effects on the land depending of the size
and amount of rainfall that has crashed on the land or it can also
depend on what type of stuff makes your land. Eg. Concrete,
grass
5. A flood is caused by the earth. Floods are Geological
because it happens anytime. Floods are Geological hazards because
floods are the most deadly and most destructive of all geolocic.
What scientific process is behind this?
6. A flood can come in many different sizes and amounts due to
the amount of rain and drains there is. If there is lots of rain
and very few drains you will get lots and lots of water and have no
way for it to escape for a long time.
7. There can be many terrible effects from a flood. The
economical ones can be the damage for your home getting wrecked and
having to give up your job to get the time to repair it. The
society ones are loss of lives, loved ones which can be very hard
to get over. The effects of human society and economical impacts
caused by a flood.
8. The problems start when a flood occurs in areas of large
scale human development of the landscape. In many areas, floods can
make large amounts of water and then it forms its way into a river
soaking plants and killing animals.
9. To predict a flood, the technology that we have now didnt
exist back then and there, Normally they could just look at a radar
and find lots of rain heading there way but sometimes you just have
to wait for some rain and be prepared for if one does occur. What
is used to predict a flood?
10. Answer is NO AND YES!!!! Can animals predict disasters???
It is known a bit of both. Plenty of animals can sense the weather
changing, but do not count on a kitten or puppy to tell you when a
quake is approaching. Be prepared even when your dog does start
barking in a different way or even just normally! Still make sure
to check a radar to see the bad weather approaching you, but always
be prepared!!!!
11. In my lifetime, The Queensland floods have happened in
2010-2011. There was also some floods called The Pakistan floods in
between 2010. This year a flood occurred in the Southeast of Europe
as well. Major floods in my lifetime!!!
12. One of the worst floods in history were the China floods in
1931. This has a death toll of 2,500,0003,700,000 people. This was
very tradgic. Another terrible flood was 1938 Yellow River floods.
Creating the death toll of 500,000700,000
