Large number of insects get originated during flood as a result Rabicrops are affected very badly. The area is very much prone to flood.

Children mainly girls, women and the dependents have to suffer a lotbecause migration rate is very high also child trafficking is veryprominent in the area.

Children, lactating women, pregnant women are very much vulnerable.

ECONOMICAL
Paddy and maize is grown in the area. During the flood regime that
affects up to six months, there will be little or no crops left and landowners and farmers will not be able to offer jobs to the people who cutthe crops and are given their share of food in return.
In this context - where villagers buy little food because of regularsupply from the fields – the reality of food price rise has not impacted
There will be no food supply from the land, the village economy is
already collapsing leaving thousands jobless and parents will have nomoney to buy food, leave aside education and health for their children.
And the problem of child trafficking, migration are encouraged in order
to cope up with the situation.

Due to the water logging and arrival of the dead bodies the water getscontaminated.
EMOTIONAL
During the flood feeling of insecurity, anxiety, fear, anger, sadness,
despair worry about the future are very prominent some children werecrying every day and night as they were suffering from water phobia.
Motivation level gets lower and the performance of children in schoolhave been detoriated. Women and children have to suffer a lot as aresult of migration of the male in search of job.
HEALTH RELATED
As a result of severe flood occur almost every year the situation of
Akha is very bad, water is flooded every here and there. like theSamuel Taylor had mentioned in “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”,
“water, water, everywhere, Nor any drop to drink” there is scarcity of safe water in the area, potable water has become scarce, watersources are contaminated, people tap water from whatever source
they can find. Unfortunately, they don't have any alternative but to
defecate in the same water and people are bound to drink thecontaminated water as a result they (specially children) are suffering
with a lot of waterborne diseases like diarrhea and viral coughing is
very much prominent. Due to the lack of roadway connectivity during
flood health services are not being availed by the people as a resultIMR is high. Children are suffering from Malnutrition.

There is no such resource available that can be used during theemergency. But the people have developed themselves in such a waythat they can easily adapt to the situation.

is easily available and arecomparatively cheaper also
Entire Akha village is already surrounded by water of Kali Kosi andKusaha Embankment is breached, the current is so high that peopleare not able to understand what to do, the entire village is in panic.
People are trying to save their own lives as well as the family membersand their cattle. They are trying to reach a safe place, the nearest
place for them is Kanjari More that is situated at a high plane but it isalso 2 km away and due to the breakage in the roads its very difficult
to follow any route, they are (specially children, women, PWDs, senior
citizen) are bound to wait for the external help like boat and othermeans so that they reach to a safer place.

SECTION VI : ACTION PLAN FOR THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE PHASE.
STATE THE ACTIONS THAT WILL BE TAKEN IN THE FIRST TWO DAYS
KVT has trained Task Force Team with well equipped Volunteers andcan reach the village within an hour after getting the information along
with Boats, Life jackets, Mega Mic, Bamboos, Tarpaulin, Plastic Sheet,First Aid team Etc. KVT also has Traditional Birth Attendants (T.B.A.)who can take care of the deliveries of the pregnant women.
KVT can also start community Kitchen with its available resources.
STATE ACTIONS THAT WILL BE TAKEN IN THE FIRST ONE WEEK.
KVT can get involved in mapping of the village and can maketemporary shelter, and do arrangement of meal.
