Mid-Engine OptionE-One’s exclusive Hurricane™ mid-enginecab design removes engine heat andnoise from the cab and allows for acompletely open cab interior. Access tothe engine is provided through the roofand both sides of the engine module. Onelarge rescue style compartment isstandard ahead of the left side pumppanel. Pumping is done in “neutral” gearand a front suction is standard on unitsequipped with a pump.
Truck CompanyBody StyleThe 95 Platform isavailable without apump to maximizestorage space. This designprovides a wide transversecompartment in place of thepump panel, a 58 cubic footstorage area on top of the bodyand deeper compartments underthe turntable.
Ergonomically DesignedControl ConsoleThe main control console is located onthe right side of the turntable and isequipped with a front access door forinspection of electrical connections.Ramping controls provide smooth startand stop control of the aerial. Allfunctions of the aerial can be performedat engine idle.
Hurricane CabThe Hurricane cab incorporatesan all-aluminum perimeterframe design for maximumdurability and corrosionresistance. The Hurricane cabprovides seating for amaximum of three firefightersin the front and four in therear. The standard tilt cabfeature makes maintenanceeasy on this traditional design.

E-One Engineered PlatformThe all-aluminum platform is designed for easy access to and from thebucket. Lift-up corners and outward swinging corner gates are standardfeatures. Aerial controls, monitor discharge controls, and electricalaccessories are conveniently located. An 8 1/2” deep side and frontwalkway provides extra protection and a larger standing surface area.Stokes basket mounts are available as an option.

Integrated Design and ManufacturingThe entire vehicle (cab, chassis, body and aerial device) is designed by E-One engineers for a totally integrated vehicle. All systems are designedto work together. Warranty issues between separate cab, body, and aerialmanufacturers are eliminated.

All-Extruded Aluminum WeldedConstructionUsing high strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy extrusions in theladder and platform construction achieves a high strength toweight ratio resulting in an extremely strong elevating platform.The aerial ladder and platform are corrosion resistant for manyyears of service. Rungs have an integral slip resistant surface on100% of the surface, eliminating the need for rubber rung covers.The swirled, natural finish requires little maintenance andpainting of the ladder or platform is not required. Welds andassociated platform and ladder assemblies are easily inspected.
The 95 Platform has a 1,025 lb. rated capacity. The design permits3 firefighters at 250 lbs. each and 275 lbs. for monitors, lights,storage boxes and other customer specified options.
The 95 Platform exceeds NFPA 1901 chapter 18 structural safetyfactors by providing a 2.5 to 1 safety margin, which includeswater in the waterway. The NFPA requirement is 2 to 1. The 95Platform surpasses NFPA by maintaining a 2.5 to 1 safety marginwhile flowing up to 1,500 gpm. Competitor models fall below the2 to 1 safety factor with water flow.

While operating the aerial atany angle of elevation at full extension, the platform monitor(s) can beoperated in any position, even above horizontal, with rated load in thebucket. De-rating the load capacity or limiting the vertical nozzle travel bythe operator is not necessary. Flowing 1,500 gpm from two monitors aimedup poses no structural or stability problems for the 95 Platform.

Independent stabilizer controls permit easy set-up on uneventerrain. The integral torque box efficiently transfers loads to the ground.
Torque Box TechnologyAnother E-One exclusive, the integral torque box framehas no rival in the aerial industry. With a Resistance toBending Moment (RBM) rating of 12,200,000 in lbs., theE-One torque box frame is the absolute strongest in itsclass. The all-welded, structural steel torque box framewith internal gussets, relieves ladder stress loads moreefficiently without passing undue stresses into theapparatus body and cab. Integral underslung jackassemblies, torque box and high-strength, lightweightaluminum aerial provide a low center of gravity forimproved road handling and narrow jackspread.Waterway plumbing through the torque box isconstructed of stainless steel, another industry firstfrom the leader in fire apparatus innovation.

CYCLONE II
Hydraulic GeneratorSystemsSave space, reduce weight, and eliminateadditional exhaust outlets by using aPTO-driven hydraulic generator. 6 to 15kw systems are installed so as not to takeup valuable compartment space. At theflip of a single switch, clean 110v to220v electrical power is produced forfirefighting and rescue equipment.Generators can be used withoutdisrupting aerial or pump operations.
Stainless SteelHydraulic PlumbingStainless steel hydraulic plumbing isanother exclusive feature. Stainlessplumbing provides a higher lifeexpectancy than hoses and has fewerleak points. The use of low maintenancestainless steel hydraulic plumbingreduces life cycle costs and makes for acleaner, more spacious working areaaround the turntable.

Cyclone II CabThe Cyclone II incorporates an all-aluminum perimeter frame design formaximum durability and corrosionresistance.
