All testing procedures should be carried out by a competent and knowledgeable person / institution and the results should be recorded. If there is an automatic test setup, the received data should be saved once a month. The test process should be done during the day and when the building is secluded, for example at weekends.

Daily ControlThis test is performed only for central battery-rated systems, checking whether the central battery unit is in normal condition by following the lighted indicators on the central battery unit.

Monthly TestThis test should be done for each device. For this, the supply voltage of the devices must be cut off from the central test key or lighting fuse or by pressing the test button on the device. Lighting and guidance devices should be tested in a short time, such as 5-10 minutes, when they are clearly visible and functioning properly. After this time, the supply voltage is applied to the devices again and the charge indicators must be checked and confirmed.

Annual TestThis test is the same as the monthly test, but it should also be checked that the devices remain in operation for as long as necessary. At the end of this period, the supply voltage is applied to the devices again and the charge indicators are checked and confirmed.

MaintenanceSome parts of the devices must be changed at certain intervals and should be taken from the care. Maintenance should be done during the annual test.

In continuous burning mode, the lamp runs 8,750 hours per year. The life of fluorescent lamps is usually between 7,500 and 10,000 hours, but it does not mean that the lamp will deteriorate after one year. The risk of failure after one year is considered to be increased and replaced with a new one every year.

The batteries used in the devices are not infinite life, and their capacities start to decrease after 3-5 years. During the annual test, the batteries must be replaced for products that do not pass the time test.

During maintenance, the inside and the outside dust must be cleaned. For safety, temperature and ultraviolet exposure of the mains connection terminal and lamp and battery socket should be observed.

The building should be a project prepared in accordance with the Electricity Facilities Project Regulation for emergency lighting, in which all related devices should be included and the changes made over time should be provided. A final registry of planned test and maintenance reports should be kept in the registry. The registry should include information such as system deployment, periodic testing and maintenance, interventions in case of malfunction, dates and personnel involved.

The accompanying table is included in the operating manuals of all products manufactured and sold by ARSEL ELEKTRONIK.

Keeping these records in check by the relevant personnel is very important in terms of traceability and security.

WORKING METHOD• Performs a functional test every 15 days after installation. The function test is performed automatically or by pressing andholding the button for 1 second.• Switches the device to emergency mode for 60 seconds, tests the lamp, battery and other functions.• Duration test once a year makes. Time test is done automatically or by pressing the button more than 3 seconds. Checkswhether the device provides the declared feed time.• Green LED, with different burning modes, displays the commands given by charge, test and button.• Red led shows different burning modes and battery and LED faults.• The device may show battery and LED malfunctions even in stand-by mode.• Button is used to test function and malfunction reset operation.
