Figures made of animal bones and found objects, organic ceramic structures, a man made from recycled computer chips, photographic prints, observations on the recent elections and many other contemporary issues will be explored as part of the combined high schools exhibition to open at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) on Wednesday 30th October. What has become an annual platform to showcase emerging, young and talented artists in the region will be presented as Emerge 2013 bringing together works from eight high schools and their year 10, 11 and 12 students from across the region. Bundaberg Christian College, Bundaberg State High School, Gin Gin State High School, Isis District State High School, Kepnock State High School, Bundaberg North State High School, Shalom College and Saint Luke’s Anglican School students all have works as part of the 2013 exhibition.
