Embassy of India, Kathmandu NOTICE dated April 06, 2018:- Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepali nationals desirous of pursuing under-graduate course in B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel management) and post-graduate courses in M.Sc. (Ag.) & ME/M.Tech in Indian Universities/Institutions during the academic year 2018-19 on prescribed application forms. The last date of acceptance of application form along with all relevant documents, at any of the places indicated below [at Para 3 (ii)], is April 27, 2018. 1. Scholarships (i) Dr. Homi J. Bhabha Scholarship Scheme: Provides scholarships for Master in engineering course in India. Applicants should be 25 years or less as on July 1, 2018 and should have minimum 60% aggregate marks in BE. (ii) M.Sc (Agriculture) Course: Applicant should be 25 years or less as on July 1, 2018 and should have minimum 60% marks in aggregate in B.Sc. (Agriculture) and minimum 50% marks in English in Class XII. (iii) SAARC Scholarship Scheme - B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel management) : Applicant should be 18 years on July 1, 2018 and should have pass class XII examination with minimum 60 % marks in aggregate and minimum 50 % marks in English. Only those candidates who have passed their classXII and Bachelor level examinations can apply for the above (Post- Graduate) courses respectively. Appearing candidates need not apply. 2. Selection Process: (i) Candidates are advised to interact solely with the Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj or Embassy of India, Camp Office, Biratnagar about the scholarship. The candidates should indicate their address and contact telephone numbers / e-mail address clearly in the prescribed column of the application form. Any change in address/telephone number should also be intimated immediately through a letter. (ii) Selection will be based on the applicant’s academic record. However, nomination of a candidate by the Embassy does not guarantee admission to any Indian college/university for the above courses. Confirmation of admission by the Embassy will be given only after receipt of the same from the concerned Indian University. Request for change of college/ institution or transfer of scholarship upon taking admission will not be entertained. Those candidates who wish to apply to this Embassy for placement in any institution in India will have no right to reject/ withdraw at a later stage failing which they will be debarred for future scholarships & would also be required to refund the entire amount spent by Govt. of India.

NOTICE dated April 06, 2018:- Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications from Nepali

nationals desirous of pursuing under-graduate course in B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel

management) and post-graduate courses in M.Sc. (Ag.) & ME/M.Tech in Indian

Universities/Institutions during the academic year 2018-19 on prescribed application forms.

The last date of acceptance of application form along with all relevant documents, at

any of the places indicated below [at Para 3 (ii)], is April 27, 2018.

1. Scholarships

(i) Dr. Homi J. Bhabha Scholarship Scheme: Provides scholarships for Master in

engineering course in India. Applicants should be 25 years or less as on July 1, 2018 and

should have minimum 60% aggregate marks in BE.

(ii) M.Sc (Agriculture) Course: Applicant should be 25 years or less as on July 1, 2018 and should have minimum 60% marks in aggregate in B.Sc. (Agriculture) and minimum 50% marks in English in Class XII.

(iii) SAARC Scholarship Scheme - B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel management) :

Applicant should be 18 years on July 1, 2018 and should have pass class XII examination with minimum 60 % marks in aggregate and minimum 50 % marks in English.

Only those candidates who have passed their class–XII and Bachelor level

examinations can apply for the above (Post- Graduate) courses respectively. Appearing

candidates need not apply.

2. Selection Process:

(i) Candidates are advised to interact solely with the Education Wing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj or Embassy of India, Camp Office, Biratnagar about the scholarship. The candidates should indicate their address and contact telephone numbers / e-mail address clearly in the prescribed column of the application form. However, nomination of a candidate by the Embassy does not guarantee admission to any Indian college/university for the above courses. iii) Submission of incorrect information/Incomplete application forms by the candidate may

result in forfeiture of the scholarship at any stage.

iv) Candidates belonging to Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Dhanusa, Mahottari, Sarlahi,

Makwanpur and Chitwan districts should submit their applications at Consulate General of

India, Shreepur, Birgunj.

(v) Similarly candidates of Siraha, Udaypur, Saptari, Sunsari, Morang, Dhankuta, Jhapa and Illam should submit their forms at Embassy of India, Camp Office, Biratnagar.

(vi) Candidates belonging to rest districts of Nepal should submit their application forms to Embassy of India, Kathmandu. (vii) Due care should be taken while exercising option for the course. Candidates are advised to give only one option in the application form. Embassy reserves the right to change the course/ option of a student depending on the placement received from New Delhi.

3. Instructions for filling up of the form:

i) Separate application forms should be submitted for separate courses. The same may

be downloaded from the Indian Embassy website www.indianembassy.org.np and filled in,

preferably typed. Candidate should attach latest passport size attested photographs, duly

attested mark sheets/ transcripts of Class XII/ Graduation/ Post Graduation and citizenship

certificate citizenship duly translated in English language and certified by Notary Public.

Originals need not be attached at this stage.

ii) Application forms, educational documents (3 copies each) along with English translated

citizenship should be submitted personally either at Embassy of India, Kapurdhara Marg,

Kathmandu or Consulate General of India, Birgunj or Embassy of India, Camp Office,

Biratnagar in the prescribed format as specified in our website alongwith original counter foil of

Bank Voucher. The application fee of NRs.400/- should be deposited in favor of Education

Wing, EOI, Kathmandu Account No. 17725240200331 of Nepal SBI Bank, anywhere in

Nepal not later than April 27, 2018.

(iii) Forms will be accepted at address mentioned above [at para 3 (ii)] on all working days

between 09.30 hrs to 12.30 hrs only. Application fee once deposited will not be refunded

or adjusted.

any of the places indicated above [at para 3 (ii)], is April 27, 2018.
