Distributed access network PON is based on tree structured fiber-cable architecture with passive optical splitters on nodes with a branching coefficient of 1:64 or even 1: 128. Every ONT LAN port performs a certain service. Servers for such services are located in the operator's network and operate via VLAN.
• VlanA - is meant for IP telephony services; • VlanB - is reserved for the data transmission (Internet); • VlanC - is meant for the IP multicast transmission; • VlanD - is meant for Set-Top-Boxes adjustment and control;
• VlanE - serves to control the station and the user terminals via EMS and TR-069 accordingly;
• Analogue and digital Cable TV services are delivered upon the data-transmission network.

The use of GPON technology as transport network of enterprises and government facilities that consist of several blocks and occupy the large area, allows to establish the data transmission channel with high throughput capability (2.5 Gbit/s to the subscriber, 1.25 Gbit/s from the subscriber), that ensures the capability of high performance, save and reliable data transmission.

Upon GPON network building on the basis of Eltex’s equipment, the network operators have possibility to provide cable TV services (analog or digital) within one optical cable simultaneously with data transmission at different wavelengths. The data transmission is carried out at the wavelength of 1490nm/1310nm to/from the subscriber, and the cable TV signal is transmitted at the wavelength of 1550nm. Whereby ONTs distinguish CaTV signals with triplexer and pass them to RF-output, to which the TV is connected by a coaxial cable.

Optical Line Terminals (OLT) LTP-4X and LTP-8X are designed to provide broadband access over Passive Optical Network (PON). GPON interfaces are used to connect the optical distribution network (PON). You can connect up to 128 subscriber optical terminals via a single fiber for each interface. Access to the operator's transport network is provided through 10 Gigabit or combined Gigabit uplink interfaces.
