El- mira swept the weekend series with the Bears, outscoring Potsdam 15-1 in EC’s two victories. BIG WEEKEND FOR RY Ashley Ryan ’15 continued to wreak havoc on opposing defenses, with her latest victim being SUNY Potsdam. In two games, Ryan logged nine points on two goals and seven assists. Her nine-point weekend solidified her spot as the nation’s leading point-scorer with 2.60 points per game. LETHAL PP UNIT Elmira’s power-play unit has played a large role in EC’s success this season as the Purple and Gold have scored on 33.9 percent of their power-play chances, the third-best percentage in the country. Leading the charge on the power play has been Cassidy Delainey ’15 and Ash- ton Hogan ’15. Delainey is tied for the national lead with six power- play goals while Hogan is tied for third with five power-play scores. ONE WAY TRAFFIC The Soaring Eagles have been in the driver seat for the majority of the season, controlling games from the opening faceoff. Elmira has scored 59 goals this season and has limited opponents to just 18 goals. To put in perspective how good Elmira has been, the Soaring Eagles have scored 18 goals in just the third periods of games they have played this year, equaling the total amount of goals EC has allowed the entire season. 100-POint trackerAshton Hogan ’15 enters Saturday’s game with 93 career points on 57 goals and 36 assists. Hogan is just seven points shy of becoming the sec-ond Soaring Eagle to reach the 100-point plateau this year. Teammate Ashley Ryan ’15 scored her 100th career point earlier this season in a 10-2 win over SUNY Cortland.

hOme is Where the dOme isThe Soaring Eagles have been phenomenal in home games this sea-son with a 5-0 home record, four of those wins coming at the Mur-ray Athletic Center and one of them occurring at the First Arena. 37 of EC’s 59 goals this season have been scored on home ice. Ad-ditionally, Elmira has outscored their opponents at home, 37-to-6.
natiOnaLLy ranked OPPOnentsSaturday’s contest against No. 4 ranked Middlebury College will be EC’s fourth nationally ranked opponent of the 2014-15 season and also their first of two consecutive nationally ranked opponents. The Soaring Eagles are 2-1 against nationally ranked opponents, with one of those nationally ranked wins coming against the Panthers.
high POWer OffenseThe Soaring Eagle offense has been second to none through the first half of the 2014-15 season. In just 10 games, Elmira has scored an NCAA Division III-leading 59 goals. Elmira is one of four institutions with 50 or more goals, however, the Soaring Eagles have played the least amount of games out of the four teams.
a LOOk at the PanthersMiddlebury College enters today’s contest with a 5-2-0 overall record and a No. 4 national ranking. Carrying the offensive load for the Panthers has been senior Emily Fluke who has 13 points on five goals and eight assists. Middlebury has split time in net between Madeline Marsh and Annabelle Jones, although, Marsh has started in three of Middlebury’s last four games. Marsh boats an unblemished 4-0-0 record and a team-leading 86 saves. Jones is 1-2-0 on the year with 58 saves. Historically, Jones has gotten the call more times than not as she owns a career record of 40-12-9 compared to Marsh’s 12 career appearances.
