CLeary’s sCOringDanielle Cleary ’18 dropped 20-plus points for the second straight game this season against SUNY Potsdam. It was also her sixth consecutive game this year scoring double-figures. Cleary joins a club of only five players since the 2001-02 season who have put together back-to-back 20-plus games and is only the second rookie to do so since Jennifer Parker ’06 did it during the 2002-03 season.
baLara’s returnAlex Balara ’15 played in just her second game of the season against SUNY Potsdam and she posted 14 points, nine rebounds, five steals, four assists, and two blocks. She now has six games in her career with five assists.
LOya in the emPire 8Meghan Loya ’16 sits third in the Empire 8 Conference in rebounds per game with 9.5, just 1.4 shy of conference leader, Maisie Pipher ’16 of Houghton College. Loya is also tied for fifth in blocked shots per contest with 0.8.
geisLer in the emPire 8Kelsey Geisler ’15 is averaging 3.7 assists per game this season, the third best average in the conference, just 0.6 assists per game behind conference leader, Veronica Peck ’16 of Nazareth College. Geisler is also is tied for seventh in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio with 0.8.
POChkar frOm the Charity striPeKarli Pochkar ’16 has gone 15-of-18 from the foul line this season. Poch-kar’s 83.3 free-throw percentage is tied for second best in the Empire 8 conference.
eLmira frOm dOwntOwnThe Purple and Gold have made 33.7 percent of their shots from beyond the arc. This ranks them second in the Empire 8 Conference, just 0.056 behind conference leader Ithaca College.
first-time matChuPFor the first time in over 13 years, Elmira will compete against Rutgers-Camden. This is the fifth matchup this season that EC has gone up against a team that they had not previously seen. During the previous four contests, the Purple and Gold have gone 3-1.
sCOuting rutgers-CamdenThe Scarlet-Raptors enter Tuesday’s non-conference tilt with a 3-7 overall record after winning their last two games against Yeshiva University and St. Joseph’s College of Long Island. Rutgers-Camden has three players averag-ing double-digits this season with Tanjae Lewis leading all scorers with 14.7 points per contest. Michelle Obasi and Alex Gravinese are also averaging double figures with 13.4 and 12.9 points per game, respectively. Cara Ra-cobaldo has been key in Rutgers-Camden’s offense as she leads the team in assists, averaging 4.2 per game. Also look for Irene Grimanis and Lewis to impact Tuesday’s game on the glass as Grimanis leads the Scarlet Rap-tors with 9.8 rebounds per game while Lewis sits right behind her with 9.1 rebounds per contest.
