2. Melody A sequence of single notes; the main, most prominent line or voice in a piece of music, the line that the listener follows most closely 3. Rhythm Notes of different durations are organised into patterns 4. Harmony Harmony is the succession of chords. Chords are two or more notes played together at the same time. 5. In todays music sections often have an evenness and symmetrical like quality to them. Pieces balance between repetition and contrast. 7. Dynamics Dynamics are the changes in volume.
