Electrochlorination system is a good option to control the biofouling by NaOCl (Max. 2,000 ppm) produced from the system, and UNITECH`s system is the best choice in practical and economical experiences.

UNITECH`s electrochlorination systems control effectively the biofouling in seawater by continuous and shock dosing, and it is usually considered for the effective control of micro and macro-biofouling.

It provides protection against the majority of biofouling, however unfortunately macro organisms can become resistant to the low continuous dosing and require a much higher dosing rate. Much higher dosing is applied only for a short time and repeated at certain fixed intervals, and this kind of process will ensure complete protection against all micro and macrofouling.

UNITECH supplies a complete range of dosing strategies to ensure optimum anti-biofouling protection at the lowest chlorine usage on-site.

Artificial Brine electrochlorinators are designed to generate hypochlorite (NaOCl) with the highest chlorine concentration as 8,000 PPM in fresh water and salt. UNITECH`s economical and optimized design ensures all relevant equipments as piping, fittings, hypo storage tanks, hypo dosing pumps are of a minimum.It means running and maintenance cost is low and requires the minimum installation space.

The electrolyser is made by bi-polar anodes and cathodes, and they are arranged to form multiple cells. The number and dimension of cells and electrodes are decided by UNITECH`s specific design parameters and will vary from Hypochlorite production capacity. The artificial salt water is made by UNITECH`s special equipment for dissolving salt and supply it to the Electrolyser.
