Application backgroundEfficient anti-fog properties are very important in many packaging applications and a wide range of polymers are used to cover different needs in each of these applications. Topically applied anti-fog agents are the only possible ap-proach when migratory additives fail to provide the required performance. This is the case in applications where migra-tion is hindered by high crystallinity of the polymer or its bonding to the additive.

Einar® 1122 anti-fogging coating solution
Einar® 1122 – for cold and hot fog applicationsEinar® 1122 is a water-based, solvent-free dispersion of food-grade anti-fog additives. After coating and drying, anti-fog performance can be achieved with coating concentrations down to 25 mg/m2. This refers to a coating thickness after drying of about 25nm. For a robust and lasting effect, surface concentrations of 50 - 150 mg/m2 are generally recommended.
This way, Einar® 1122 delivers efficient and consistent performance in applications requiring uncompromising quality, such as oriented and stretched polyolefin and polyester films, as well as thermoforming applications.
Einar® 1122 anti-fog coatings compare exceptionally well with competing products and have proven superior performance in numerous evaluations.
