When you start out in a career in the arts, you have no idea what you are doing

THIS IS GREAT!!!

People who know what they are doing know the rules They are bound by what is possible and what is

impossible

If you don’t know its impossible its easier to

do

And because no one else has done it before, no one has made rules to stop you from doing it

ALWAYS MOVE TOWARDS THE “MOUNTAIN”

If you have an idea of what you were meant to do,

JUST GO AND DO IT

There are things you need to do before you can get to the place you

want to be

Sometime in your career, you do not know whether you are making

the right move

Imagine where you want to be Imagine your goal as a Distant

Mountain

As long as you are walking towards the mountain you

will be fine

Say no to opportunities, however lucrative they be, if they take you away from

the mountain

DON’T DO WORK FOR THE MONEY

If you did it for the money and you did not get the money,

you would

have nothing

If you did work you are proud of, even if you did not get the

money,

at least you will have

the work

MAKE INTERESTING MISTAKES

If you make mistakes, means you are making something of yourself

Mistakes can be

useful sometimes

No matter what profession you are in , you have the

ability to make art.

You will have a successful career if…..

•Your work is good

•You are likeable

•You deliver on time

The secret is …. … you don’t even need to do all three

Two out of three

is good enough

People will tolerate how unpleasant you are if your work is good and you deliver it on time

People will forgive the lateness of your work if it is good and they like

you

You don’t have to be as good as everyone

else if you are on time and it is a

pleasure to hear from you
