3. Administration moduleThis next section is dedicated to the user with administrative access to EH SmartView

Theadministrativeuser,whichwillbeyourdefaultuserifyouonlyhaveonelicense,canaccessanadministratormodulethatallowsthemtomanagetheirdifferentpolicygroupingaswellasuseraccesstotheirpolicies.TheadministratorcanalsomodifylanguagesettingsforthedifferentEHSmartViewusers.Additionaluserlicensescanbeaddedforafee.

Access to the administration module

Toaccesstheadministrationmodule,simplyclickonthe“key”iconthatfigures in the user menu.

Policy Grouping

ThissectionhelpsyouorganizeandgroupyourdifferentEulerHermespolicies.Allofyourpolicies,bothactiveandterminated,areregroupedinadefaultpolicyparentgroupfolderlabeledwithyourcompanyname.Bydefault,youwillfindanotherparentgroup(MyGroup)andtwosubgroups(MyGroup1andMyGroup2)thatyoucanusetocreateapolicyhierarchy.

Name your new parent group

Onceyourparentgrouphasbeencreated,rightclickonitsfolderto:createanewparentgroup,renametheparentgroup,addagroup,deleteaparentgroup,orchangeitspositioninthe PolicyGroupingsection.

Tocreateanewparentgroup,simplyrightclickthedefaultparentgroup,MyGroup,andselect“Addparentgroup”.

AnychangesmadeviatheEHSmartViewadministrationmodulewilltakeeffectonthefollowingday.

Policy User Access

Onceaccessforadditionalusershasbeenestablished,youcancontrolwhichpoliciestheymayseeinEHSmartView.Simplycheckorunchecktheboxesnexttothepolicynumber.

Choosethelanguagesettingsofyouruseraccessesinthelanguagesettingsection.

Understanding the different EH gradesInthedifferentEHSmartViewreports,youwillcomeacrosstwodifferenttypesofgrade:theEH Buyer Grade and the EH Country Risk Rating.Thefirsthelpsyouunderstandthefinancialhealthandcreditworthinessofyourdifferentbuyers,wherethesecondanalyzestheeconomicandpoliticalenvironmentsofacountry.ThesetwogradesarethecoreofEulerHermes’knowledgeandwillhelpyoutoavoidbusinessesandmarketsthatmaypresentagreaterrisk,aswellashelpyoucapturegrowthopportunities.

OurEulerHermesBuyerGradeanalyzesthefinancialhealthandcreditworthinessofyourbuyerstopredicttheirdefaultrisk.

We assign each of those customers a ‘grade’ that reflects the health of their activity and the way they conduct business.

Toaccessthebuyergrade,EulerHermesriskunderwriterscombineproprietaryEulerHermesdatawithpubliclyavailableinformation.

Taking this risk assessment into account, our underwriters grant a specific credit limit up to which you can trade and be able to make a claim should something go wrong. This limit can be revised upward or downward as new information becomes available.

Grade NA – This grade is given to un-invoiceable companies (generally non-trading companies, like holdings)

2. EH Country Risk RatingInadditiontotheEHBuyerGrade,theEHCountryRiskRatinganalyzesthecountry’spolitical,environmentalandeconomicrisk.Itisthecombinationoftwocomponents:

The long-term risk (country grade),whichresultsfromacombinationofthreesub-ratings: theStructuralBusinessEnvironment(SBE),whichmeasuresthewellbeingofthebusinessenvironment,thepoliticalrisk,andthemacroeconomicrisk.Thesethreesub-ratingsarecombined togivethefinalcountryratingrepresentedbyletters.AArepresentsthelowestlong-termrisk andproceedsdowntoA,BB,B,CandD,representingthehighestlong-termrisk.

The short-term risk (country risk level),whichresultsfromacombinationoftwoindicators: theCyclicalRiskIndicator(CRI)andtheFinancingFlowsIndicator(FFI).Thefirstmeasurescommercial riskaswellasthebusinesscycleandincludesdataondifferentbusinesses,especiallyinsolvencies,whilethesecondmeasuresthefinancialstrengthoftheeconomy.Thesetwoshort-termindicatorsarecombinedtogiveyouanumber,from1to4,with1beingtolowestriskand4beingthehighest.

Forexample,if a country’s risk rating is B1,itmeansthatthelong-termriskisB(thefourthlevel) andthattheshort-termriskis1(thebestlevel).TheBcanexplainthecountry’sdifficultbusinessenvironment,duetostructuralflaws,oritspoliticaluncertainty.However,short-termriskislow asboththeCRIandFFIareattheirlowestlevels.

These Euler Hermes grades give you a greater understanding of your buyer portfolio and help you make more informed decisions about your business.
