LOCATIONEgypt is in the northeast of Africa.

It is surrounded by Red Sea, the Arabian desert and the Libyan desert.

Its capital city is Cairo.

Cairo has 16 million inhabitants.

The flag is red, white and black and it has a golden eagle the centre.

The coat of arms has a big golden eagle and the flag of Egypt.

LANGUAGESThe official language in Egypt is Egyptian Arabic.

Other languages in Egypt are the indigenious languages spoken in the small villages, and

also the historical hieroglyphics.

FOODMost plates are vegetarian, but they use fish and

seafood too.

Koshari is one of the national dishes. It's a mixture of rice, lentils, and macaroni.

MONEYThe pound is the official currency of Egypt.
