He is helpful to his classmates during group work. He senses when I’m looking for materials (that could be in any of 3 places!) and points them out to me. Yesterday, when we were returning from a fire drill, Mason secured the doors leading into our hallway. Most students simply open the door and go through, letting it close behind them. Mason made sure the magnets were connected so that everyone could easily pass. Kindly recognize Mason for always putting others first, and going above and beyond what is required. STUDENTS: Ali Rowland and Joe Moller Nominated by: Ms. Messeck Both of these students displayed leadership, maturity and compassion while helping me respond to two separate medical emergencies during the same block in my class. They both made calls to the nurse giving them information and requesting help as I was with the students. I am proud to have students like these two in my class!!

The Latin Carnival was another great success this year. Last Saturday, kids from all over the
township enjoyed face painting, games, fortune telling, candy piñatas and wandering through a
maze erected in the commons area (with some great treats at the exit!). It was great seeing the
kids in their costumes enjoying the many activities as well as Latin program alumni who came
back to support the event. Congratulations to Mrs. Kammerman and our Latin student leaders
for another great year!
The annual HERO Walk is upon us this Sunday. For those newer to the staff, John was a
graduate of both EHTHS and the U.S. Naval Academy and the HERO Campaign is both a
celebration of his life as well a reminder of the devastation that can be caused by drunk driving.
Being a HERO means that you believe that through education and involvement, we can put an
end to unnecessary tragedies and make the roads a safer place for all of our families. Still time
to register and/or donate and remember to wear your 2017 HERO Walk shirts to school this
