The duration of all security training courses recognized by the Security Services Training Board (SSTB) of the Vocational Training Council as from 1.4.2003 should be no less than of 16 hours. The recognized courses should cover the Whole syllabus set out in the assessment criteria prescribed by the

SSTB.

由2003年4月1起，所有職業訓練局轄下保安服務業訓練委員會(訓練委員會)認可的課程，授課時數須不少於16小時。認可課程內容包須包含訓練委員會的評審準則內所載的全部課程課題。

Validity - At the end of the validity period of each recognized course, the SSTB will review the course and consider extending the validity for a further period if the prescribed standards continue to be met. If at any time a training course has declined in standard or a course provider fails to follow the rules of the

Recognition Scheme, the SSTB may withdraw its recognition.

有效期：在各認可課程有效期屆滿時，訓練委員會將會檢討有關認可課程，若認為該課程仍乎合所訂定的標準，將考慮延長其有效期。無論何時，如培訓課程的質素下降，或培訓機構不遵守認可計劃的規則，訓練委員會可取消有關認可資格

Exemption from Basic Training - Any person who has successfully completed a recognized training course, passed an examination and is able to produce documentary proof to this effect (e.g. a completion certificate) may be exempt from the basic training on being employed by a security company. This

exemption will be valid for five years from the date of successful completion of the recognized course

申請保安人員許可證準則 : 任何人士凡參加上列課程, ，並在課程終結考試中取得合格成績者，可於證書發出日期一年內，以此作為乎合申請保安人員許可證的其中一項要求。

豁免基本訓練：成功修畢認可課程，而且考試合格，並能出示證明文件（例如畢業證書）的人士，在受保安公司聘用時，可被豁免接受的基本訓練。這項豁免由成功修畢該課程日期起計，有效期為五年

Familiarization Training - Notwithstanding the above exemption, a security company may provide familiarization training to its newly recruited security personnel who has completed a recognized course. The familiarization training aims to provide the security guard an adequate understanding of the company’s

operation and specific job requirements before actual deployment.

熟習訓練：縱使有上述豁免安排，保安公司仍可為修畢認可課程的新聘保安員提供熟習訓練。熟習訓練旨在讓保安員在正式上任前，可充分了解公司的運作和特定的工作需要。

Updates and Amendments - The SSTB reserves the right to update and amend this Register as and when required.

更新和修訂：訓練委員會保留因應需要更新和修訂本名冊的權利。

Criteria of Application for Security Personal Permit : Any person who has sat and passed the course-end examination, can be regarded as having satisfied one of the requirements in applying for the Security Personal Permit within one year from the issue date of the certificate.
