BASIC EDUCATION• 9 years, entry at 6 years.• 28 pupils/class for most subjects, 20

pupils/class for sports and technic.• 3 three-year cycles.• Teachers obligation : 20-25 h/week • Compulsory curriculum: compulsory subjects, activity days

(culture, science, sports, technology)• Extended curriculum: educational assistance for children for

special needs, after-school care, interest activities, out-of-school classes.
