They can only apply if they are continuing/resuming studies in 2020 (e.g. Junior College/Polytechnic proceeding to University) - Students going to NS. 1) Your child/children’s Birth Certificate(s)* *For birth certificate(s) not issued from Singapore, please submit Certificate of Singapore Citizenship / Re-entry Permit and Student Pass
2) Your child/children’s Result Slip(s)
Full Year Examination Results, Certificates and Transcripts or Slips for Academic Year 2019 (All results slip/transcript MUST bear the school logo. Results slip without the school logo will not be accepted)
Note: For university student, please submit the full year transcript and in the event if you have not received the full transcript, please email to [email protected] sg by 18 June 2020.

3) Your Income Documents (Applicable for Education Grant only)
3.1 For Salaried Employees:
• Latest payslip (within 3 months from the date of application) includes irregular overtime and/or allowances+ OR
+If pay includes irregular overtime and/or allowances, please provide last 3 months’ payslip to derive average monthly pay
• Employment Letter with company’s letterhead/stamp (stating gross monthly income, including irregular overtime and/or Allowances) OR
• CPF Statement (Contribution History) for the past 3 months from the date of application
3.2 For Self-Employed, Part timers or Casual workers:
• CPF Statement (Contribution History) for the past 3 months from the date of application OR
• Notice of Assessment from IRAS (Year of Assessment 2019)
3.3 For Housewives, Unemployed or Retirees:
• CPF Statement (Contribution History) for the past 3 months from the date of application. If no CPF contribution, a written letter from CPF board is required
Note: GB members whose child was a NTUC GB - U Care Fund Education Awards 2019 or U Care Back to School Vouchers
2019 successful recipient need not submit your child’s birth certificate(s) unless there are changes.
• The Education Awards System (EAS) is an online system that aims to improve the efficiency and processes in the administration of U Care Voucher Programmes.
• The EAS allows union members to submit an online application for the Education Grant/Scholarship.
• It also stores union members’ applications and supporting documents in the system, thereby providing ease of retrieval and evaluation.
Overview of Online Application Process
To use the EAS, the following web browsers are recommended:
(a) Internet Explorer version 9, 10 and 11
(b) Firefox version 34
(c) Safari version 7.0
(d) Chrome version 3X
Step 1: Login to Your U Portal Account at www.ntuc.org.sg or www.ntuc.org.sg/educationawards
1. Click E-Services located at the top of the page 2. Select Education Awards 3. Click Read More
4. Please read the eligibility criteria under Announcement. 5. Click Apply under My Application.
Ensure Payment is Up to Date
6. If you have outstanding membership fees, please make payment before applying:
a) Click on Make Payment displayed on the error message, and a new window will open.
b) Complete your payment via Credit Card/Debit Card (VISA/Mastercard) or AXS stations
(NETS) and you may apply online on the same day.

Update Your Particulars
7. Your membership particulars will be automatically shown. Please check and update your particulars and employment information before proceeding.
Please note that in EAS:
• Updated particulars will be reflected immediately.
• Press F5 button or click Refresh icon (at the webpage address bar) to see your
updated particulars.

8. Any previous records of your children will be automatically reflected in EAS.
9. Click on Add to add new school-going children information.

10. Enter all the required fields and select the award (Scholarship or Education Grant) that you wish to apply for your child.
11. You will need to:
• Upload the following documents:
a) Relationship Supporting Document (e.g. Birth Certificate): Mandatory for all b) Results slip: Mandatory for all (if you have more than one result slip, please scan
or take a picture of both result slips in one picture) c) Supporting Document (Student Ezlink card, student card): only for foreign
students
• Repeat Step 9 to add more school-going children
Please note that:
• If you have uploaded the children’s Birth Certificates for previous years, you are not required to upload again.
• The maximum file size for the supporting documents is 1 megabyte (MB) each.
• The file format should either in: .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif
• Please ensure that all content in the uploaded document is sharp and clearly visible.
• The scanner should be set to scan at a resolution of at least 150 dpi (dots per inch) in either colour or grey mode.

Update Your Income
16. Key in your Gross Monthly Income and upload your latest supporting income documents
If you are Employed:
• Photocopy of recent payslip (dated year 2020) or CPF Statement (showing
Contribution History for past 3 months)
If you are Self-Employed or Work Part-Time:
• Notice of Assessment from IRAS (Year of Assessment 2019) or CPF Statement
(showing Contribution History for past 3 months). If no CPF account, a written letter
from CPF Board is required.
If you are Unemployed:
• CPF Statement (showing Contribution History for past 3 months). If no CPF account, a
written letter from CPF Board is required AND
• Photocopy of Spouse’s Payslip or CPF Statement (showing Contribution History for
past 3 months) if you are Married
Submitting Your Application (Complete Information)
17. Ensure that all the mandatory fields are filled, and complete mandatory documents are uploaded.
18. Check the Declaration check box to declare that all the information submitted is true
before clicking on Submit Application.

19. Please note that the application cannot be submitted if:
(a) Any mandatory field is blank or
(b) Any mandatory supporting documents is not uploaded, or
(c) If the Declaration check box is not checked, or
(d) The length of membership does not meet the selected programme’s minimum membership tenure criterion, or
(d) There is overdue membership fees
After Application Submission
1. Once you have submitted the application, you may check the application status via the
EAS’s My Application → View/Edit function which will show Processing.
2. If is not successfully submitted, your application status will remain as Draft.

Submitting Your Application (Incomplete
Information/Documents)
1. If the information and supporting documents are not available during your application, you can click Save as draft button to complete your application at a later time before the application closing date.
2. You can check the status of your application via the EAS My Application function, which
will show Draft status. Please note: 3. Under Save as draft option, you can edit the information in the application form.
4. The application details will be kept in the system until the application closing date, 30 April
2020.
5. If the draft application is not successfully submitted by the application closing date, all
information will be deleted.

Edit Draft Application
1. To edit your application, move cursor to the navigation bar on the right and click on
View/Edit.
2. All the applications which you have applied will be displayed. To edit an application, click
on “Edit” link
3. Proceed to update/edit the application.
4. Click on Submit Application to proceed with the application submission.
5. Please ensure that all information are correct before submission. Once you have clicked
on Submit Application, no changes can be made at the previous page.
6. If you decided to submit the application later, click on Save as Draft. However, any Draft
application not submitted by the application closing date will be deleted.
