will continue until the end of Term 3. Have a wonderful break! Athletics Carnival Our Athletics Carnival will be held on Monday, 29 July 2019 (Week 2 of Term 3). Students 8 years of age and older this year are currently participating in high jump, long jump, discus and shot put events in preparation for the carnival. Remember students should wear their house colours on the day. Good luck to all our competitors. Regional Cross Country Carnival The Regional Cross Country Carnival was held on Thursday 13 June at Camden Equestrian Centre. This was the first year the event was held at this location. Competitors ran on a chilly overcast day against zones from across the region. Congratulations to the following students who attended the event: Sophie B., Deen C. and Riley S. Liverpool Zone finished 3rd overall on the day. SSW Girls Basketball Champions In Week 8 of Term 2, I attended this tournament in Albury with 10 girls who were selected from the 8 zones that competed in the Regional carnival. SSW had become NSW State Champions for the first time since 1983. The girls were impressive winners with the final score being SSW 56-43. Congratulations girls! Miss Moffat School Sport Organiser

Change of Clothes It is not unusual for Kindergarten students or other junior students to have a toileting accident. Many require a change of clothing. Unfortunately, we do not always have a change of clothes that fit or are suitable to change stu-dents into. If your child is a junior student, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please include a change of undies, socks, school top/dress and short/pants in your child’s bag daily. This will assist us to make your child comfortable quickly. Also some students may slip on the playground on mud during the wet season therefore change of clothes in their bag for the older students would be also appreciat-ed.

Lost Property As the end of term approaches, please check the lost property draws located in the admin foyer and baskets outside the office if your child has lost any personal property at school. In order that any lost items are able to be returned to your child, please write your child’s name on everything! You can:

use a permanent laundry marker to label clothes, hats and shoes, or sew or iron on personalised la-bels;

check that labels haven’t faded with washing;

go through your child’s bag with them each night.

All uncollected items will be donated to our second hand pool and other lost property items will be placed in the clothing recycling bin.
