1. If you want to create a delay between the end of one animation and the start of the next item in the list, click an option in the Delay list.

2. In the Start list, do one of the following:

• If you want to start the animation by clicking the slide, click On Click

• If you want to start the animation at the same time as the previous animation in the list, click With previous

• If you want to start the animation right after the previous animation in the list finishes, click After previous

If this is the first slide, it will be marked as “0” and will start as soon as the slide appears in the slide show.

Note:

You can change the order of animations on a slide by selecting the text item or object in the Custom Animation list and then dragging it to a new location in the list.

Paragraphs or Bullets

1. On the Text Animation tab, do one of the following:

• If you want the paragraphs to play each on separate click of the slide, clear the Automatically after n seconds check box.

• If you want the paragraphs to play consecutively after one click of the slide, select the Automatically after n seconds check box and type a number in the box if you want to delay the start of the animation between paragraphs.

• If you want all paragraphs to animate at the same time, in the Group text box, select All paragraphs at one, and clear the Automatically after n seconds check box.

Note:

This works only for animations that have been applied to a text placeholder and contain 2 or more paragraphs (including bullets).

With this option selected, the animated item will return to its original state. For instance, if you will apply the Fly out effect, the item will fly out, but then will appear on the slide in its original location.

1. On the Slide Show menu, click Slide transition.

2. In the list, click the transition (transition : One of a set transitional display effects that are available in some Microsoft Office applications. Transitions specify how the display changes, such as fading to black, as a user moves from one item, such as a slide or web page, to another) effect you want.

3. Click Apply to All Slides.

Preview Animations

On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation, and do one or more of the following:

• To preview animations for a slide, display the slide you want to preview, and then click the Play button in the Custom Animation task pane.

This will show triggered animations automatically; you do not have to click the item to see it animate.

To preview all animations, including triggered animations, click slide show in the Custom Animation task pane.

Run a Presentation on Two Monitors

Before you can turn on multiple monitor support, you must have the proper hardware installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This support is available for Microsoft Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows 2000 desktop computers; it is only available for laptop running Windows 98.

1. Turn on multiple monitor support, if necessary.

How?

• If Control Panel is not already visible, click the Start menu, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the Display icon

• Select the monitor icon for the presenter’s monitor (usually 1), and then select the Use this device as the primary monitor check box.

If this check box is selected and unavailable, the monitor is already designated as the primary monitor. Only one monitor can be selected as the primary monitor at a time.

When you select a different monitor icon and complete step 2, this setting for the previous monitor is automatically cleared and becomes accessible again.

3. Select the secondary monitor icon, and then select the Extend

my Windows Desktop onto this Monitor checkbox.

Notes:

1. You can only show the presenter view on and run the slideshow from one monitor.

2. Your computer may have the capability to support multiple, but PowerPoint supports the use of two for a slideshow.

3. You can turn off dual monitor support by clearing the Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor checkbox.

4. Open the presentation that you want to show on more than one monitor.

5. On the Slideshow menu, click Set Up Show.

6. In the Display slideshow on list, click the monitor you want the show to appear on (for instance, the projector or large monitor, rather than the presenters monitor or laptop).

7. Select the Show Presenter View checkbox.

8. Click OK.

9. To start the slideshow , click.

10. To move between slides, or trigger the next, click the arrow buttons or click a slide in the thumbnail list to show a slide out of sequence.

11. To end the show, click the End Show button.

Start a Slide Show Presentation

1. Open the presentation you want to view as a slide show.

2. Do one of the following:-Click slide show at the lower left of the PowerPoint window.

-On the slide show menu, click View Show.-Press F5.

Start a slide show from your desktop

1. In my computer, locate the presentation file you want to open as a slide show.

2. Right click the file name, and then click SHOW.

Start a PowerPoint Show (.pps)

Use this procedure to open and play a slide show you have saved as a powerpoint show.

1. In my computer, locate the powerpoint show file you want to open.

2. Double click the file name to open it.

Tip:

To create a shortcut to your powerpoint show, use the right mouse button to drag the file to your desktop.
