EDTC 5503 Introduction-Abby

My name is Abby Harrison.

I am from The Colony, Texas. It’s a city about 40 minutes north of Dallas. No, it’s not a cult. In a few weeks I will be turning 23! (I think birthdays are exciting). During this presentation you will find even more about me.

I have a greatfamily that includes:

my extremely supportive parents,

(they’re probably the best parents ever)

my awesome younger sister,

(she’s just 13 months younger and after years of fighting we are finally also friends)

my adorable 9 month old nephew,

(don’t tell anyone, but I’m his favorite)

a wonderful dog named Tori,

(she’s 5 years old and I adopted her in 2013)

a sweet boyfriend named Brice,

(we’ve been together 3.5 years and I love him very much)

my boyfriend’s lovely family,

(who I already consider my family as well)

and my fantastic best friends.

(I’ve known them so long that they’re family)

Some things I like to do are:• Sew• Craft• Take pictures• Camp• Run• Hang out with my family

and friends• And…..

In Dec. 2014 I received my B.S. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. I loved OSU so much that I decided to get my M.S. in Ed. Psych. there too. I’ll graduate this May.

My goal is to help students to get the best education they possibly can. That might entail becoming a teacher, helping teachers become better teachers, helping schools to be better for their students and/or teachers, help students with their schedule, life, and/or classes, etc. I am open to a number of jobs at the college level or k-12 level as long as I’m helping…..

I think this class can help me to understand how to better develop online classes and help me help teachers manage their online classes. Online classes are becoming more popular and the knowledge and skills I learn from this class can help me in many future jobs that I might have with teachers or students.
