ANTIBES YACHT SHOW
AFTER THE SUCCESS OF LAST YEAR’S ANTIBES YACHT SHOW, Edmiston will
be displaying a dazzling 12 yachts at this year’s event. Held on the main quay within
the IYCA at Port Vauban, our fleet is practically a show within a show. Edmiston is
on stand 607/608.
The scope of our yachts on display includes the 61 metre discovery yacht Absinthe
to the 23 metre Alla. In between, we have no less than seven superb flybridge
sportsters and motor cruisers from just over €4 million up to just under €11 million.
Sailing yachts are represented by the inspiring sight of the magnificent 57 metre
three-masted schooner Fleurtje, and 31 metre Savannah, the finest sloop of her size.
Choose your year, decide on your budget, style and size and come and see
a collection of yachts of remarkable diversity, quality and value.
The great advantage of the Antibes show is the opportunity to buy a yacht in time
for the entire Mediterranean summer. Our yacht management division will take care
of everything from surveys and refits through to finding berths and crew. Our charter
managers will then organise charter marketing to defray the cost of ownership –
sometimes totally.
Edmiston brokers will give expert advice and accompany clients to inspect any
yacht at the show. With over 200 yachts up to 80 metres on display, inside knowledge
is absolutely essential.
The show runs from Thursday 17th until Sunday 20th April. Opening hours are
10am until 7pm daily, with the event closing at 5pm on the Sunday.
Edmiston has already pre-arranged heliport access and VIP parking. Please
contact Linda Ehrenstrahle-Cherel for tickets and to arrange a convenient time
to rendezvous. Telephone: +377 93 30 54 44 or email: [email protected]
We look forward to welcoming clients to this exciting and opportune yacht show.

ANTIBES YACHT SHOW
AS A PRELUDE TO THE ANTIBES SHOW, Edmiston is holding an open day aboard
the 61 metre (201’) discovery yacht Absinthe. Clients are welcome to come and look
over this mighty adventure vessel that, after many years of long distance voyages,
is now for sale.
The event is held in conjunction with Eurocopter. Their top rated EC135 will be
parked on the helideck and test flights can be arranged in advance. The EC135 and
Absinthe’s strict US Coastguard helicopter facilities (including a refuelling dock) neatly
display the best of both worlds.
One of the most versatile discovery yachts, Absinthe is equipped for all action
adventures. Enormous storage space for tenders and sports equipment prepares the
yacht for voyages to different climate conditions – from tropical heat to arctic freeze.
A very successful charter yacht with enormous potential, she has a surprising turn
of speed, crossing the Atlantic in nine days and averaging 13 knots.
Beneath her rugged exterior is an elegant interior style with large saloons, a media
centre and library. 12 guests sleep in seven double and one convertible cabin, including
an upper deck owner’s suite.
At US$15.95m, she represents good value for such a large yacht and is available
for charter in the Mediterranean this summer as well as inspection at the show.

innovative ideas.Own a true original.
THUNDER B HAS A 4,500HP GAS TURBINE driving three water jets to deliver 35 knots.
The interior superbly combines art-deco styling with Matisse-inspired fabrics and
artworks. Practically the entire main and upper decks’ side superstructure is glazed.
Not just big windows, this is a wall of glass. The main saloon converts into a cinema.
Aft on the main deck, retracting glass doors open to create a covered dining terrace.
The dining table ascends into the deck head, transforming the area into a large outdoor
saloon. Deck space includes a large forward swimming pool surrounded by full-length
sunbeds, a twin-tabled, aft dining terrace and a very private sun deck.
Thunder’s pearlescent paintwork shimmers from silver to black, changing at
every angle. Available immediately, Thunder B is a highly practical yacht, MCA certified
and with an excellent balance of interior and exterior space. Sports equipment includes
two jet skis and a tender.
Also available by separate negotiation is Lightning, a 50’ Sunseeker Superhawk,
custom-painted to match the mothership.
You have the ultimate yacht, but where can you find a berth? Thunder B’s purchaser
will have the option to rent her berth in Golfe Juan for two years. With her speed,
space style and sense, Thunder B is a superb deal waiting to be negotiated.

BRILLIANTBAGLIETTOIn every size spectrum there is a yacht that captures
the moment. A yacht offering the latest thinking in
lines and lifestyle. The Baglietto 34 is a yacht that, as
much as anything else, triumphs because it gives an
owner the optimum combination of size, speed and
typical Italian style. Edmiston has three of the finest.

MYSPACE
THE ONE
GILBERTO BENETTON IS A MAN OF GREAT VISION.
Wanting to purchase a mid 30 metre yacht, he chose
a Baglietto 34 with the intention of creating a yacht
with a very special specification. 30 knot top speed, a
30 per cent increase in stability, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, contemporary
interiors, two full-beam master cabins and extremely low noise and vibration ratings.
With a raised pilothouse bridge, the entire main deck is dedicated to entertaining,
from the forward dining saloon through the lounge and out to the aft deck dining terrace.
The lower deck sleeps eight guests in the two equal master cabins and two twins.
Interior styling includes wide wenge floorboards and bleached teak panelling.
Televisions are either in retractable sideboards or concealed within mirrored walls.
The attention to detail is astonishing.
There is an additional feature that makes this MCA-certified yacht special. It is
unregistered and has yet to be used. A new Baglietto 34 could not be delivered
until 2010 making B17 a way to acquire a very special new yacht, immediately.
Baglietto, 2007, 34m/112’, 8 guests, €10.95m
MYSPACE IS THE WHITE hulled version of the range. Built in 2002, subtle interior
changes make a big difference to the overall effect. The sun deck layout has individual
sunloungers and recliners with a forward Jacuzzi. A dining area divides the two.
The interior has been designed in metropolitan chic style – all of the furniture is
white with clean lines and a crisp finish. Linen sofas, leather chairs, polished teak
floors and steps, multiple pairs of low-voltage dimmer lights and square planters
with white orchids. The overall effect is very chic.
MySpace has a very rare five cabin layout for ten guests. All of the cabins are
decorated with a palette of grey wardrobes and panelling with teak floors. The yacht
was repainted this year with the interior brought up to ‘as new’ standards.
Baglietto, 2002, 34m/112’, 10 guests, €6.95m
DELIVERED IN LATE 2006, The One is competitively priced and lightly used. Her
distinctive golden hull and 27 knot top speed make her extremely attractive.
An unusual flybridge layout has two very long sets of facing sofas as well as a
dining area, barbecue and bar. The way these elements are styled and arranged
makes this area particularly appealing. The main saloon, with large U-shaped sofas
and dark-wood furniture, leads out through glazed doors to an aft deck dining area.
A minimalist dining saloon is furnished with a deeply polished dark-wood table and
chairs, set against silk cherry panelling.
The One sleeps nine guests in a master, two double cabins and a twin with a
Pullman berth. A gymnasium could also be converted into a further double cabin.

BUILT AT FALCON YACHTS IN 2002, Aquarius S has
been maintained to the highest levels and is in ‘as

five crew-members. A wide beam creates considerable
volume with bright, open interior spaces contrasting
against rich, dark wood gloss panelling. In addition, the
yacht has a 29 knot top speed, a large sun deck, a
shaded aft dining deck and a deep swimming platform.

for a yacht of this size. The flybridge has a dining area,
a full beam sunpad, two facing sofas and contemporary
chaise longues. Interior design is distinctly minimalist,
with antique oak floors, white, square panelling and
matt grey-faced cupboards. Be Cool is an extremely
stylish yacht. Cabin configuration is a full beam owner’s,

sports cruisers with a wide beam and deep hull, creating
good volume. Four large cabins, two of which are full
beam, make her ideal for families. The flying bridge
sun deck has a dining area and Jacuzzi. Clarity is a
proven performer – in each of the past two years, all
of her annual running and maintenance costs and six
weeks owner’s use have been paid for by Edmiston
charter clients. Well maintained and with a very high
specification, Clarity is good value.

THE FINEST LEOPARD 31 ON THE MARKET, Friday is an
extremely dramatic sportster with 40 knot performance.
The only Leopard with a black hull, her entire design has
been radically styled in black and white. Black, tinted
windows, black sun beds and a white, marble, aft deck
dining table, maximise the effect. The interior has a white
theme with sofas, blinds, panelling and carpets, all
meticulously co-ordinated. Nine guests sleep in a

designed by Terence Disdale. The large flybridge has
a barbecue, fitted sofas and dining tables. The transom

silver-leaf leather, apricot silk upholstery, gloss lacquer

Designed by Robert Clark, Fleurtje was built in 1960 at De Vries Lentsch in Holland.
Continuously maintained to Lloyd’s class (with this year’s survey recently completed),
her steel hull and aluminium superstructure has been totally repainted and much of
the mechanical and sailing gear upgraded or replaced.
Fleurtje is in the finest condition of her life and Gerald Dijkstra’s enhancements
have optimised performance, giving considerable handling improvements and
a speed of 17 knots. Built to sail the oceans, Fleurtje is easily capable of
a circumnavigation. Largely self-sufficient, repairs and minor refits can
even be completed on board.
The main and dining saloons have oak cross-beamed ceilings,
gleaming brass and solid-oak panelling, creating an atmosphere
of polished elegance.
Guest cabins include a master, two doubles, one twin and
two singles, all with en-suite bathrooms that have a full
bath, marble walls and basin tops, gold-plated fittings and
teak decking. Single cabins also have Pullman bunks.
Classic in style, Fleurtje is the only important three
masted schooner currently available for sale.

FLEURTJE
BUILT AT ALLOY YACHTS in New Zealand, Savannah is a top performance,
high volume, long distance cruising yacht that excels for family use.
A ‘villa on water’ concept, with interior design by Ralph Lauren and
David Linley, she won the Showboats Superyacht of the Year award
in 1998 and has been very highly regarded ever since.
North sails, a Southern Spars aluminium and carbon rig with
in-boom furling, over 4,500sq ft of sails and a heavy displacement
hull mean greater stability, a sea-kindly ride and a Delta
form that sails fast and true. In 18 knots of wind, Savannah
readily achieves 10 knots to windward and over 12 knots
reaching. She is a superb performer under sail.
The newly refitted interior is light and open. David
Linley’s cherrywood panelling includes highly detailed
marquetry pieces. The raised pilothouse provides
360º views, with steps down to the saloon, creating
a very large split-level entertaining suite. Up to
eight guests sleep in a full-beam master suite,
two twin cabins with a Pullman berth
and one single cabin.
Savannah is a very rare combination of
handsome New England hull lines, English
interior styling and New Zealand yacht building
skills. As an inspection at Antibes will confirm,
Savannah is the finest yacht of her length and
year currently on the market.

LADY CHRISTINE
LADY CHRISTINE IS AN EXTREMELY DISTINCTIVE YACHT. A 55 metre Oceanco built
for a very experienced yachtsman with unusual and innovative ideas.
Years of ocean sailing are distilled into a layout that ignores conventional planning.
For a start, Lady Christine’s superstructure is full-beam, with side passageways
adding to the interior volume.
The very substantial main deck saloon resembles a fine country house library
complete with a marble open fireplace, The saloon’s size is as a consequence of
placing the dining saloon forward. With 180º views and eight skylight panels, it is a
highly unusual setting.
An astonishing 50% of the entire upper deck is dedicated to the master suite.
The king size bed leads to a private saloon that can be separated by drawing curtains
between the mahogany columns. Floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the
suite and a private deck is reached through full-height, glazed, retracting doors.
Four horizontally placed guest staterooms include two double and two twins.
Where most yachts have an upper deck saloon, Lady Christine’s second
entertainment area has been moved to the sun deck. With 360º views, this circular
saloon has retracting doors to a massive sunbathing area that has been strengthened
to act as a heli deck complete with refuelling dock. The forward sundeck has a
steering position – a flying bridge on a 55 metre yacht!
Lady Christine will be returning to the Mediterranean after another faultless long

SWEETY, Codecasa, 2005, 51.00m/167’4”, 12 guests, €25m
SWEETY IS ONE OF THE MOST OPULENT 50 METRE YACHTS FOR SALE. Her orientally
styled interior features gloss exotic-wood panelling, black lacquer, Japanese art,
screens and display cabinets. A lift connects all four decks. The huge sun deck has a
Jacuzzi, covered bar and a very large, open-plan, sunbathing area. Dining and
entertaining space is a high priority. The sun deck dining table easily seats 20, a
circular dining area, forward of the bridge, seats eight and the main dining saloon
seats 14 guests. Sweety is quite structured, with different rather than duplicate
spaces. A very large, square, upper deck saloon and a glass enclosed aft lounge
are just two examples. Twelve guests sleep in a full-beam, king size master, a VIP,
two doubles and three twin staterooms. Sweety is a yacht of rich opulence.
range cruise. Her Die Oldenburger-built interior is simply immaculate and the formal
style belies the originality of the interior layout.
A number of other details confirm the depth of planning. The yacht has large
freezers so that she can undertake long distance cruising without concern for constant
provisioning. Garbage compacting machinery assists with the need to hold material
for the duration of a voyage.
With a large garage for her two tenders and a 5000nm range, Lady Christine is
a refined, sophisticated long range cruising yacht of immense comfort. Available

t 52 metres (170’) Kokomo is the ideal length
that combines large interior spaces with sleek
performance values. Long enough to have
a massive 63.4 metre rig able to support a sail volume
of 3,832 square metres. The rig is the largest that can
pass through the Panama Canal.
From the muscular boom unfurls a gennaker of
1,660 square metres giving outstanding performance
even in light airs.
Two cameras atop the mast relay 360º views to five
monitors. A cosy, crows-nest lift ascends 30 metres for
breathtaking views either underway or at anchor.
With the benefit of experience comes a layout plan
for easy living. All of the day areas are on one level
and all of the cabins below. The steering position is
dedicated to a flybridge large enough for relaxation,
entertaining and sailing.
While most of the deck space is aft, the forward
tender store also doubles as a spa pool. The aft deck
is an expansive, teak terrace with a huge U- shaped
sofa and umbrellas. No clutter, no ‘other bits’ just clean,
clear space. A double-hinged transom unfolds to create
a huge swimming platform that descends below the
level of the water.
This entire aft section leads through into the saloon
via the dining cockpit. It is a seamless connection from
teak deck to wenge floorboards. The ten seat dining
area is protected by retracting, glass, side panels – up
when you want air-conditioned control, down when
you want nature’s air-conditioned breeze.
Redman Whiteley Dixon’s interior is a masterful
display of taste and restraint. Modern and luxurious,
it has clean lines and lets the materials do the talking.
Wenge and walnut panelling, mid earth-toned alcantara
sofas – refined and elegant style.
Floating steps up to the flying bridge are typical of
the design-led solutions to everything.
Ten guests sleep in a full beam, king size master
(with a full-beam steam shower bathroom), two double

BROKERAGE
Kokomo is the 23rd yacht built at the shipyard
and follows on the keels of Drumbeat and Tiara.
(Both yachts were sold by Edmiston.)
Kokomo is the 14th Dubois design to be built at Alloy.
The designers and shipyard know how to get the
best out of each other. Proven in awards and races.
Kokomo has the world’s largest custom-built
vertical and drum winches. Her aluminium hull is
remarkably true of line. A semi-plumb bow
maximises the waterline length, optimising
hull speed and handling.
Kokomo’s five, 3DL carbon sails are the largest
yet built by North. Each single piece sail has the
minimum weight and stretch, combined with a
maximum loading of 17 tonnes on the main sail.
Kokomo’s 63.4 metre high modulus carbon rig is the
tallest yet built by the renowned Southern Spas.
Kokomo is RWD’s most accomplished sailing yacht
to date. Designed from a blank canvas with
comfort, contemporary elegance, practicality and
tidiness as the primary objectives.
WHEN IT COMES TO KNOWLEDGE, experience and
skill, Alloy Yachts of New Zealand is the world’s leading
shipbuilder of luxury, performance sailing yachts.
Alloy has pulled further ahead through the evolutionary
designs of Dubois Naval Architects. If practice makes
perfect, these magnificent sloops have now reached
a level of perfection that will only improve through new
technologies to come.
Designers and shipyards achieve a good deal of their
success through their components. It is a meritocracy
combining a great design, meticulous build quality in
conjunction with the very best machinery available.
North Sails developed cutting-edge 3DL sail technology
used by America’s Cup race boats, where weight and
performance are paramount.
Obviously the rig and sails are like hand and glove.
Southern Spas push the boundaries of the possible in
terms of flex, strength, reliability and maintenance.
While there will always be great subjectivity in style,
Redman Whiteley Dixon are amongst the top handful
of designers who have managed the delicate art of
interpreting a client’s brief with a signature style that is
greatly admired and thus adds value to the project.
Kokomo’s appeal is simple. She is thefinest available sailing yacht of her size.Where some people make idle boastsof such a nature, we think it best to setout the cold hard facts to prove it.
Kokomo allows you touse more sail, more often.

PRINCESS MAAND MOON GODDESS
YACHT FOCUS
PRINCESS MARIANA is more like a wish list than practically any other yacht yet built.
But the key factor is not the long list of entertainment features but how brilliantly they
have been accomplished.
For example, many big yachts have graduated from Jacuzzi to oversize Jacuzzi
to swimming pool. Princess Mariana dispenses with half measures and goes for a
12 metre underlit indoor pool. And this is the spirit that defined the yacht’s specification.
Why bother with just an idea when you can have something really spectacular?
Designed by Espen Oeino with an interior by François Zuretti, Princess Mariana has
a dedicated area for just about everything within her six decks and 79 metres (258’).
Where to start? 12 guests sleep aboard but 50 can be catered for during the
day. To enter the yacht, guests walk past a double deck-height waterfall. In the formal
cinema as well as throughout the yacht, guests can choose from the film library held
on five one-terrabyte entertainment systems. A nightclub has three cinema screens
and a spa pool. The beach club (with that swimming pool) is created by a teak
platform folding down from practically the entire length of starboard hull. A spot of
exercise? Try the golf driving range. Need pampering? Visit the spa beauty salon.
We haven’t yet mentioned the dining options. (Which deck, in or outdoors, are
the principal questions.) Saloons with huge sofas and armchairs are found on every
level and, as far as we are aware, this is the first yacht that actually has an entire
deck called the Party Deck.
RIANAThere is so much space, so many ideas and so much technology on
Princess Mariana that it is easy to forget that the purpose is to entertain guests
to a level not possible on probably any other yacht. Of course there is a heli
deck, of course the master suite is full beam and of course there is a thousand
bottle tequila cellar. On Princess Mariana, even the unlikely is normal.
It would take a long cruise to make use of everything on board, why not
make a start? Princess Mariana and Moon Goddess are available for charter
exclusively through Edmiston. For further information contact Diego Marroquin

MOON GODDESS often accompanies Princess Mariana but, at 35 metres (115’), she
hardly qualifies as a tender. In fact, the scope of this yacht, custom built like Princess
Mariana at Royal Denship, is simply awesome.
The simple things first. Moon Goddess’s lower deck has three double staterooms
including a large full-beam master, a double and a twin, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Two saloons are mostly taken up by large banquette sofas and small dining tables.
Headroom is irrelevant because the roof retracts to such a degree that, in
effect, there is no roof. Teak decking is used internally and the furniture is all water-
proof. The reason is that Moon Goddess is designed for f-u-n and the easy way to
keep the yacht pristine is to hose down the interior at the end of each day.
The performance is, by any standards, staggering. Twin 4000hp MTU engines
are linked to Hamilton water jets with a carbon-fibre crankshaft. Speeds of 53 knots,
a turning circle of 150°, a wake that is tight and low and then, the yacht goes from
53 knots to stationary in less than 160ft. Moon Goddess simply defies good sense,
but that is what makes her such fun.
If you want to set all of this poetry in motion to music, consider this one fact:
Moon Goddess is wired with over 60 state-of-the-art speakers.

Princess Mariana is currently based in the Sea of Cortes, Mexico.

CHARTER THE WORLD’S VERY
FINEST YACHTS of every size
and style.
There are large yachts for charter, there
are contemporary styled yachts for charter and
there are fast yachts for charter. A select few
are a combination of two categories, but only
Silver can honestly lay claim to being at the
cutting edge of all three. Quite simply – she is
in a league of her own.
Over 73 metres (240’) of aluminium, laser
cut into Espen Oeino’s radical design that slices
through the water at 30 knots. Solas certified,
she can sleep 18 guests, has an entire deck dedicated to the principal guest and no
less than six major entertainment areas. Consider yet another awesome attribute:
her stablisation system is so sophisticated that, with only 2.3 metres of draft, Silver
can anchor in sublime turquoise water or equally well sail transatlantic at 22 knots.
Energy efficiency is a priority and, at 18 knots, she only uses 500 litres of fuel per
hour. So much for the logic – how about her emotional appeal?
Silver is awesome. Long, lean, it is an understatement to label her as the ‘silver
Tstreak’. Her lines are so precise that, for once, the phrase “no compromise” is justified.
The latest ‘must-have’ yacht feature – the beach club – is created by a clever piece of
engineering forethought. With her two, eight-metre tenders held in forward garages,
the enormous sub transom area has space for a sunken bar, gymnasium, cinema,
built-in sofas and large sunbeds. Steps lead to the teaked swimming platform with
a pivoting diving board.
The aft main deck is an all-day affair with a massive, square, sunbed that
converts into a dance floor with music supplied from a mobile console. The sunbed
that becomes a dance floor can also become a helipad.
More ideas? Try the innovative forward main deck terrace, where 24 guests can
sit around four tables. After dining, the tables are hydraulically lowered to create a
vast cushioned sunbed. Of course, there is also a sun deck. Sunbeds forward and
aft are separated by a dining table and a double-sided bar.
The Japanese/Italian interior design style is beautifully executed. Gloss, richly
grained panelling, oversized sofas and simple, clean lines are the overall theme.
While the styling is contemporary, it avoids the austerity of many minimalistic interiors.
Your Edmiston charter broker will take you through the interior details – three VIP
staterooms, two double and two twin staterooms and every type of space you
could ever want on a yacht. Silver is for very exclusive charter through Edmiston.
