We plan, build and operate infrastructure
ÖBB-Infrastruktur ensures punctuality, security, cleanliness and open access to the rail system. We thereby provide the right conditions for an efficient and reliable passenger and freight service by rail. With 18,000 employees, we plan, develop, maintain and operate the entire ÖBB rail infrastructure; train stations, routes, buildings, termi-nals, telecommunication systems and hydropower plants for environ-mentally friendly railways. We manage the total property assets and are one of the largest property owners in Austria. The majority of ÖBB apprenticeships and the railway-specific, operational and technical training are integrated into our company.
On behalf of the federal government, we invest more than 2 million euros into the Austrian rail network each year and provide state-of-the-art railway technology. ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG is a 100 percent subsidiary of ÖBB-Holding AG, which is wholly owned by the Republic of Austria.

We want to get as many people as possible excited about the railway
Our employees are specialists with a strong customer focus in the railway sector, but also in other professions. They are responsible for our company’s success. Our goal: more satisfied customers. This requires satisfied employees because they’re the ones who win cus-tomers. They do what helps us to make further progress and shape positive and lasting customer relationships. We keep Austria moving. Get your career moving at karriere.oebb.at
Customer satisfaction
ÖBB-Infrastruktur focuses on high quality to get even more people excited about the railway. The goal: shorter journey times, increased capacity, connecting Europe, effective link between road and rail – and, of course, top-quality service.
We have received good marks for the above from our business part-ners and passengers. The results of customer surveys are an incen-tive to resolutely continue our quality drive!
