Patient identifying information, such asnames, initials, hospital numbers, or photographsshould not be included in the written descriptions.Patient consent should be obtained in written andarchived with the authors.
Protection of Human Subjects and Animalsin ResearchWhen conducting experiments on humansubjects, appropriate approval must have beenobtained by the relevant ethics committees. Allthe procedures must be performed in accordancewith the ethical standards of the responsibleethics committee both (institutional and national)on human experimentation and the HelsinkiDeclaration of 1964 (as revised in 2008). Whenreporting experiments on animals, authors mustfollow the institutional and national guidelines forthe care and use of laboratory animals.
