My partner I decided to add typography to our music video. The reason for this is because it keeps the audience entertained due to them having to read the text on the screen which relates to the song and Truffle and Coco.

We was able to choose the colour of the typography. We decided on a vibrant orange due to it matching our colour scheme of our music video.

We used a yellow glow a around the typography to draw more attention to the typography. The colour yellow also shows happiness. This is represented in our music video.

We also used a darker orange around the yellow glow because it look effective and appealing to the eye.

We layered candles and a clip of Truffle singing her lyrics to “Hot stuff”. The colours of the candles are effective because they complement the love and lust theme.

We added a glow affect to the candles to emphasise the candles and to highlight that the colours are lit.

We also colour graded Coco to red on a black background to background to make her stand out. We used the colour grading tool to add this effect.

We colour graded the background to red in order to complement Coco’s red lipstick and Truffle’s red lips. The red lipstick and background emphasise’s the theme of love and lust.

The red border complements the red lipstick and the red background.

The editing techniques that were used in this clip was highlighting the facial features by 19% and shadows were reduced by -25% to prevent any shadows. We also used colour, saturation and exposure to draw attention to the facial features.

We used a transition that allowed us to move from Truffle singing the lyrics then Coco singing the lyrics. This created a dramatic effect on the music video. The reason why this was done this is because our music video is a performative video.

Step 1 – Firstly I put each clip onto final cut. I then bladed up the section of the clip that I wanted.

Step 2 – Secondly I positioned the clips where I wanted them.

Step 3 – After I played the clips to see how they played and shortened the clips accordingly if they need to be trimmed some more.

A cut is used to transition from one clip to another clip.

A glow effect is added to this clip which is to enhance the aspect of the body.

A black background is affective because it makes the body part stand out. Also on beat editing is used for the movement of the bottom.

This is an image of when we fist imported the music onto Final cut pro, before we started added the clips to create the music video.

In this section of the music video we fasten up the hand movement of the person featuring in the music video. After we slowed down the hand movement that was in beat of the music. This was done purposely to display our editing skills.
