Catalogue advertAuction catalogue advert for the sale of the Bassandyne Bible. Bought for £10 by Edinburgh Town Council and displayed for many years in the City Chambers.

Bassandyne BiblePublished in 1576 this is Scotland’s oldest printed Bible. Whilst over 20 copies remain Edinburgh Central Library’s copy is thought to be in the best original condition.
