The sample group was selected by cluster random sampling technique and they comprised 26 students in grade 5 who were studying in the second semester of 2019 at AnubanThungfon of Primary Education Service Area Office 3. The research instrument was a two-tier test. The student responses to each two-tier test item were classified following criteria used by Costu, et al (2012). The data was analyzed by using frequency and percentage. The results showed that the majority of grade 5 held specific misconception and no understanding on force and motion as follows: the object moves faster on the flat surface than the tilted surface; the motion of an object is always exerted by force; mass is weight; and the amount of friction depends on weight only.
