American Alliance for Health,Physical Education, end Recreation
In recent years there has been a phenominal growth and increasein the number of dance programs offering both undergraduate andgraduate degrees on college and university campuses throughoutthe nation. They presently exist as a part of departments ofphysical education, music, theatre, fine arts or prevail indepen-dently as departments of dance.
The Dance Directory is intended as a guide for students, historians, researchers, performing artists and dance educators. It can alsoserve as a valuable source for curricular comparison and develop-ment. The editor acknowledges that constant changes in personnel, revision of curricula, development of new programs and publicationdeadlines make it impossible for this directory to be absolutelycomplete or entirely up to date. The listings herein have beencompiled from material received from the persona in charge of therespective dance programs.
The Dance Directory is one of the many services provided by theNational Dance Association, an Association of the AmericanAlliance for Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Thisninth edition supersedes all previous directories prepared bythe Association.
