This Certification Program is a valuable tool for architects, de- signers, product specifiers, and purchasing organi- zations who want to locate, specify, and purchase low-emitting products for indoor environments. The Children & Schools Certification Program provides the strictest guidelines specific to envi- ronments where growing children will be living, playing, and learning. GREENGUARD® Children & Schools Product Certification Program complies with the State of California’s Department of Health Services Standard Practice (CA Section 01350) for testing chemical emissions from building products used in schools. As such, GREENGUARD® Children & Schools Certified products can be used as a strategy to earn valuable credits in the CHPS Best Practices Manual for K-12 schools. GREENGUARD® Certified Products provide the added benefit of reducing and simplifying liability issues relating to air quality, that can arise from new and existing construction projects. Draper continues, through quarterly GREENGUARD® Certification Program testing, to ensure that our products maintain these standards. Draper is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.
