RoadwaysIndian River County is within 3 hours of 90% of Florida’s population - 18 million people.• I-95 is the primary north-south

transportation route through Indian River County, less than 10 miles from the county’s population centers, with convenient access from virtually anywhere in the county.

• U.S. Highway 1 is the historic business route that runs directly through the county’s urban centers.

• State Road 60 is the main east-west artery between Vero Beach and the Tampa Bay area on Florida’s west coast, with Florida’s Turnpike just 30 minutes away.

RailFlorida East Coast Railway (Class II) goes north to Jacksonville and south to Miami through Indian River County. It runs parallel to U.S. Highway 1 and serves PortMiami, Port Everglades, and the Port of Palm Beach.

SeaportsThe two closest ports are Port of Fort Pierce to the south and Port Canaveral to the north. Port Canaveral is a designated Foreign Trade Zone and has direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as Canada, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
