Our new school

Since November 2013, we have a re-

built school, everything is new :

classes, gymnasium, and a self –service

canteen.

Our school is highly insulated which

leads to spare a lot of the energy used for the heating and

cooling of the building.

An Eco-Aware school

We are using a wood-pellet-fuelled-boiler.

We have a dual-flow ventilation which naturally regulates the temperature inside our school.

At the canteen

We are sorting the rubbish every day at school in order to contribute to the protection of our environment, this is one of the new things we can do since we have our new self-service restaurant.

Waste sortingWe put the

organic waste in a bin, the meat or fish

waste,and the paper, or

plastic , or aluminium wraps into

another bin. We don’t have

many kind of rubbishes at the canteen.

Recycling

We used to collect

batteries and ink cartridges to take them

to the recycling

centre and make sure

nobody would throw these

wastes in the regular bin.

What can we improve now ?

Composting?

Now that we have a self

service canteen and sort the wastes , we

would like to gather the

organic waste in a compost bin,

we could produce a natural fertilizer

for the plantations we have at school.

Season plantation?

Now each class has its own garden

square in order to have

its own planting. We

would love to raise fruits or vegetables of each season

and avoid polluting

transports.
