Pressure SensorThe Pressure Sensor automatically regulates temperature in accordance to the level of pressure present in the refrigerator.

Temperature SensorThe Temperature Sensor re-adjusts cooling temperature to the optimum level when new or external elements that affect temperature change are found.

Volume SensorThe Volume Sensor adjusts cooling speed according to storage volume so that the Vacuum Compartment cools well even when full. When lesser air is detected, which indicates the presence of more food, Running Pump increases in speed to allow faster cooling*1.

HITACHI ORIGINAL ADVANCED VACUUM COMPARTMENT

Co2 SensorThe CO2 Sensor detects CO2 level from the amount of vegetable in the Vacuum Compartment and sets temperature conveniently. A Pump draws air periodically to detect the latest CO2 level so that food is kept at the freshest condition at all times*1.

A carbon dioxide sensor or CO2 Sensor is an instrument for the measurement of carbon dioxide gas. In space station applications, measuring carbon dioxide is important whereby CO2 Sensor can be used to monitor the quality of air and the tailored need of fresh air for the astronauts in spacesuits to ensure their safety.

Hitachi’s Made In Japan 6-door intelligent refrigerator now features the premium Vacuum Compartment, infused with the latest innovation to preserve food’s freshness for even longer. The Vacuum Compartment adjusts temperature and cooling period automatically according to type and volume of food stored for optimum conveniences*1. Designed with the combined Vacuum Preservation and Vitamin Case, the refrigerator promotes nutrients retention and colour preservation. The Vacuum Preservation of approximately 0.8hPa capability reduces oxidation of nutrients, while the Vitamin Case releases antioxidant vitamins to enhance nutritional value of food.

4 INTELLIGENT SENSORS

The Intelligent Vacuum Preservation system incorporates CO2, Pressure, Volume and Temperature Sensors to automatically detect the perfect temperature that suit the different types of food stored in the Vacuum Compartment*1.

HIGH SPEED CHILLING WITH NEW ALUMINUM TRAy

The Aluminum Tray chills faster and defrosts food at a higher speed to prevent dripping, which helps to retain food’s original taste and nutrients level.

Food can stay fresh longer when it is stored at its ideal temperature. With the new Vacuum Compartment , optimum temperature of approximately –1ºC/+1ºC is automatically adjusted to achieve ultimate freshness. C02 is detected when vegetable is present in the fridge. Once CO2 is found, the temperature adjusts automatically to maintain the best condition for nutrients to be preserved*1.

ENERGy SAVING TECHNOLOGyA mark of Hitachi’s environmental commitment, the B-series refrigerator combines an array of advanced environmental innovations to achieve complete eco-efficiency. During the process of Frost Recycling Cooling, the compressor switches off automatically when the chilled conditions are optimised. Frost formed on the generator is then recycled to keep temperature low even when the compressor is not in use. Together with the High-Efficiency Compressor and Insulation system, the refrigerator is able to run efficiently on greatly reduced electricity consumption.

sign is turned on when the compressor runs in a stable condition. This smart function matches various family usage styles whereby it detects users’ patterns. During users’ absence, the refrigerator will defrost automatically.

Eco mode is on

As part of Hitachi’s eco movement, the Power Saving Mode is specially designed to ensure minimum electricity wastage. When Power Saving Mode is on, an alarm will ring when the door is left open for more than 30 seconds, after which lights will dim. When appropriate, cooling speed will decrease to minimise the revolution of the compressor.

ADVANCE FROST RECyCLING COOLING TECHNOLOGy

In conventional cooling systems, frost that formed on the evaporator would simply be melted and discarded by switching off the compressor. With the new Hitachi’s Advance Frost Recycling Cooling technology, the frost formed on the evaporator is fully utilised. The cool air generated by the frost is used for recycling by sending it through the refrigerator and vegetable compartments, thus enabling full cooling effect to take place even when the compressor is not running.

The Intelligent Flaps and Sensors in the refrigerator, freezer and vegetable compartments ensure that Advance Frost Recycling Cooling is complete. The Intelligent Flaps and Sensors of each compartment detect and control the cool air generated by the frost precisely and effectively. And by sending it through the flaps, chilling condition in each compartment is optimised.

A.I. INVERTER

A highly efficient Inverter-controlled compressor ensures stable operations in low to high speed operation.

The new Refrigerant Valve comes equipped with improved flow of heated refrigerant that detects external humidity and temperature using a Humidity Sensor. The Humidity Sensor controls dew level during low humidity as an energy saving measure.

When compressor is on, normal cooling operation is taking place.

When compressor is off, cool air from frost is generated by fan and sent through the compartments.
