When you look at it or hold it & let it be without imposing a word of mental label on it, a sense of awe, of wonder, arises within you. Its essence silently communicates itself to you and reflects your own essence back to you. 2) on divine purpose, and universe 'You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are.' 3) on eckhart tolle "I am the hole on the flute that Gods breath flows through." 4) on enlightenment, mind, awakening, and consciousness So the single most vital step on your journey toward enlightenment is this: learn to disidentify from your mind. Every time you create a gap in the stream of mind, the light of your consciousness grows stronger. One day you may catch yourself smiling at the voice in your head, as you would smile at the antics of a child. This means that you no longer take the content of your mind all that seriously, as your sense of self does not depend on it. 5) on ego, awakening, present, past, future, and self To the ego, the present moment hardly exists. Only past and future are considered important. This total reversal of the truth accounts for the fact that in the ego mode the mind is so dysfunctional. It is always concerned with keeping the past alive, because without it - who are you? 6) on enlightenment, thought, awakening, mind, and thinking Enlightenment means rising above thought, not falling back to a level below thought, the level of an animal or a plant. In the enlightened state, you still use your thinking mind when needed, but in a much more focused and effective way than before. 7) on romance, love, experience, and human condition The reason why the romantic love relationship is such an intense and universally sought-after experience is that it seems to offer liberation from a deep-seated state of fear, need, lack, and incompleteness that is part of the human condition in its unredeemed and unenlightened state. 8) A Quote by Eckhart Tolle on love and being Love is a state of Being. Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you. 9) on love, communication, communion, oneness, and realization True communication is communionthe realization of oneness, which is love.

When you look at it or hold it & let it be without imposing a word of mental label on it, a sense of awe, of wonder,
arises within you. Its essence silently communicates itself to you and reflects your own essence back to you.
2) on divine purpose, and universe
'You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are.'
3) on eckhart tolle
"I am the hole on the flute that Gods breath flows through."
4) on enlightenment, mind, awakening, and consciousness
So the single most vital step on your journey toward enlightenment is this: learn to disidentify from your mind. Everytime you create a gap in the stream of mind, the light of your consciousness grows stronger. One day you may catch
yourself smiling at the voice in your head, as you would smile at the antics of a child. This means that you no longer
take the content of your mind all that seriously, as your sense of self does not depend on it.
5) on ego, awakening, present, past, future, and self
To the ego, the present moment hardly exists. Only past and future are considered important. This total reversal of
the truth accounts for the fact that in the ego mode the mind is so dysfunctional. It is always concerned with keeping
the past alive, because without it - who are you?
6) on enlightenment, thought, awakening, mind, and thinking
Enlightenment means rising above thought, not falling back to a level below thought, the level of an animal or a plant.
In the enlightened state, you still use your thinking mind when needed, but in a much more focused and effective way
than before.
7) on romance, love, experience, and human condition
The reason why the romantic love relationship is such an intense and universally sought-after experience is that it
seems to offer liberation from a deep-seated state of fear, need, lack, and incompleteness that is part of the human
condition in its unredeemed and unenlightened state.
8) A Quote by Eckhart Tolle on love and being
Love is a state of Being. Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and i t cannot leave you.
9) on love, communication, communion, oneness, and realization
True communication is communionthe realization of oneness, which is love.
Through forgiveness, which essentially means recognizing the insubstantiality of the past and allowing the present
moment to be as it is, the miracle of transformation happens not only within but also without.
11) on god, being, words, language, awakening, reality, and truth
Neither God nor Being nor any other word can define or explain the ineffable reality behind the word, so the only
important question is whether the word is a help or a hindrance in enabling you to experience That toward which it
points.
12) on mind, thoughts, concepts, and relationship
Identification with your mind creates an opaque screen of concepts, labels, images, words, judgments, and
definitions that blocks all true relationship.
13) on lessons, learning, events, and realization
Whenever anything negative happens to you, there is a deep lesson concealed within it, although you may not see itat the time.
14) on self, interesting, inside, outside, interior, curiosity, and ease
in curiosity ease inside interesting interior outside self
Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside
will fall into place.
15) on acceptance, responsibility, tolerance, happiness, and change
Wherever you are, be there totally. If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you havethree options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally.
16) on self, awakening, presence, present, past, and enlightenment
You cannot find yourself by going into the past. You can find yourself by coming into the present.
17) on awakening, god, enlightenment, and seeking
You find God the moment you realize that you don't need to seek God.
18) on transformation, change, grace, love, transform, self, awakening, and enlightenment
Where there is anger, there is always pain underneath.
29) on fear, danger, anxiety, now, moment, and peace
The psychological condition of fear is divorced from any concrete and true immediate danger. It comes in manyforms: unease, worry, anxiety, nervousness, tension, dread, phobia, and so on. This kind of psychological fear is
always of something that might happen, not of something that is happening now.
30) on love, joy, peace, mind, peacefulness, freedom, and thoughts
Love, joy, and peace cannot flourish until you have freed yourself from mind dominance.
31) on pleasure, joy, freedom, and self
Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.
32) on spirituality, truth, and reminding
I cannot tell you any spiritual truth that deep within you don't know already. All I can do is remind you of what you
have forgotten.
33) on artists, stillness, mind, and peace
All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.
34) on emotion, mind, body, reflection, and reaction
Emotion arises at the place where mind and body meet. It is the body's reaction to your mind — or you might say, a
reflection of your mind in the body.
35) on mind, thinking, life, body, and thought
It wasn't through the mind, through thinking, that the miracle that is life on earth or your body were created and are
being sustained.
36) on awareness, unconscious, mind, thoughts, body, and emotion
You may not yet be able to bring your unconscious mind activity into awareness as thoughts, but it will always be
reflected in the body as an emotion, and of this you can become aware.
37) on evil, love, awareness, consciousness, and manifestation
Evil is an extreme manifestation of human unconsciousness.
38) on Now
Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.
Empathy with someone else's pain or lack and a desire to help need to be balanced with a deeper realization of the
eternal nature of all life and the illusion of all pain. Then let your peace flow into whatever you do, and you will be
working on the levels of effect and cause simultaneously.
40) on present moment, accepting, is-ness, and now
Accepting means you allow yourself to feel whatever it is you are feeling at that moment. It is part of the is-ness of
the NOW. You can't argue with what is. Well, you can, but if you do, you will suffer.
41) on now, this moment, problem, and attention
Focus your attention on the Now and tell me what problem you have at this moment.
42) on consciousness, evolution, and universe
Consciousness is evolving throughout the universe in billions of forms. So even if we didn't make it, this wouldn't
matter on cosmic scale. No gain in consciousness is ever lost, so it would simply express itself through some other form. But the very fact that I am speaking here and you are listening or reading this is a clear sign that the new
consciousness is gaining a foothold on the planet.
43) on self, fish, and entity
If a fish is born in your aquarium and you call him John, write out a birth certificate, tell him about his family history,
and in two minutes he gets eaten by another fish -- that's tragic. But it's only tragic because you projected a separate
self where there was none. You got hold of a fraction of dynamic process, a molecular dance, and a separate entity
out of it.
44) on energy field, inner body, true nature, form, and identity
Please open your eyes now, but keep attention in the inner energy field of the body as you look around the room.
The inner body lies at the threshold between your form identity and your essence identity, your true nature. Never
lose touch with it.
45) on ripple, wave, being, and organism
In a fully functional organism, an emotion has a very short life span. It is like a momentary ripple or wave on the
surface of your Being.
46) on descartes, thinking, being, and identity
The philosopher Descartes believed that he had found the most fundamental truth when he made his famous
statement: "I think, therefore I am." He had, in fact, given expression to the most basic error: to equate thinking with
Being and identity with thinking.
47) on how, what, and doing
"How" is always more important that "what." See if you can give much more attention to the doing than to the result
―Time isn‘t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point thatis out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you
miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Accept - then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not
against it.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―You do not become good by trying to be good, but by finding the goodness that is already within you, and allowing
that goodness to emerge. But it can only emerge if something fundamental changes in your state of consciousness.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Love is not selective, just as the light of the sun is not selective. It does not make one person special. It is not
exclusive. Exclusivity is not the love of God but the "love" of ego. However, the intensity with which true love is felt
can vary. There may be one person who reflects your love back to you more clearly and more intensely than others,
and if that person feels the same toward you, it can be said that you are in a love relationship with him or her. The
bond that connects you with that person is the same bond that connects you with the person sitting next to you on a
bus, or with a bird, a tree, a flower. Only the degree of intensity with which it is felt differs.‖
Eckhart Tolle,
―Always say ―yes‖ to the present moment. What could be more futile, more insane, than to create inner resistance to
what already is? what could be more insane than to oppose life itself, which is now and always now? Surrender to
what is. Say ―yes‖ to life — and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―All the things that truly matter, beauty, love, creativity, joy and inner peace arise from beyond the mind.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Living up to an image that you have of yourself or that other people have of you is inauthentic living.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Pleasure is always derived from something outside you, whereas joy arises from within.‖
―Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Realize deeply that the present moment is all you will ever have.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―When you don't cover up the world with words and labels, a sense of the miraculous returns to your life that was
lost a long time ago when humanity, instead of using thought, became possessed by thought.‖
Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
―Don't let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Awareness is the greatest agent for change.‖
Eckhart Tolle,
―To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease, and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent
upon things being in a certain way, good or bad. It seems almost paradoxical, yet when your inner dependency on
form is gone, the general conditions of your life, the outer forms, tend to improve greatly. Things, people, or
conditions that you thought you needed for your happiness now come to you with no struggle or effort on your part, and you are free to enjoy and appreciate them - while they last. All those things, of course, will still pass away, cycles
will come and go, but with dependency gone there is no fear of loss anymore. Life flows with ease.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―If not now, when?‖
Eckhart Tolle
―What a liberation to realize that the ―voice in my head‖ is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who sees that.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Humanity is now faced with a stark choice: Evolve or die. … If the structures of the human mind r emain unchanged,
we will always end up re-creating the same world, the same evils, the same dysfunction.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Don't Seek Happiness. If you seek it, you won't find it, because seeking is the antithesis of happiness‖
―If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place. Primary reality is within; secondary reality without.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Any action is often better than no action, especially if you have been stuck in an unhappy situation for a long time. If it is a mistake, at least you learn something, in which case it's no longer a mistake. If you remain stuck, you learn
nothing.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―What you react to in others, you strengthen in yourself.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Can you look without the voice in your head commenting, drawing conclusions, comparing, or trying to figure
something out?‖
Eckhart Tolle
―All problems are illusions of the mind.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―...the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment in whaterver form. Both
are illusions.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The greater part of human pain is unnecessary. It is self -created as long as the unobserved mind runs your life.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Man made God in his own image...‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old,
conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy
and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of
quality, care, and love - even the most simple action.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Knowing yourself is to be rooted in Being, instead of lost in your mind.‖
―It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Nonresistance is the key to the greatest power in the universe.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―What will be left of all the fearing and wanting associated with your problematic life situation that every day takes up
most of your attention? A dash, one or two inches long, between the date of birth and date of death on your
gravestone.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Through the present moment, you have access to the power of life itself, that which has traditionally been called"God." As soon as you turn away from it, God ceases to be a reality in your life, and all you are left with is the mental
concept of God, which some people believe in and others deny. Even belief in God is only a poor substitute for the
living reality of God manifesting every moment of your life.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The greatest achievement of humanity is not its works of art, science, or technology, but the recognition of its own
dysfunction.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―You become most powerful in whatever you do if the action is performed for its own sake rather than as a means toprotect, enhance, or conform to your role identity.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not ―the thinker.‖ The moment you start watching the thinker,
a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. You then begin to realize that there is a vast realm of intelligence
beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence. You also realize that all the things that truly
matter – beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace – arise from beyond the mind. You begin to awaken.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―One thing we do know: Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your
consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at
this moment.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―In the eyes of the ego, self -esteem and humility are contradictory. In truth, they are one and the same.‖
―Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Life isn't as serious as my mind makes it out to be.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Once you have had a glimpse of awareness or Presence, you know it firsthand. It is no longer just a concept in your
mind.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The most common ego identifications have to do with possessions, the work you do, social status and recognition,
knowledge and education, physical appearance, special abilities, relationships, person and family history, belief
systems, and often nationalistic, racial, religious, and other collective identifications. None of these is you.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―On a deeper level you are already complete. When you realize that, there is a joyous energy behind what you do.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―If you identify with a mental position, then if you are wrong, your mind-based sense of self is seriously threatened
with annihilation. So you as the ego cannot afford to be wrong. To be wrong is to die. Wars have been fought over this, and countless relationships have broken down.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―the primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but you thoughts about it‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Even a stone, and more easily a flower or a bird, could show you the way back to God, to the Source, to yourself.
When you look at it or hold it & let it be without imposing a word of mental label on it, a sense of awe, of wonder,
arises within you. Its essence silently communicates itself to you and reflects your own essence back to you.‖
Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
―You are here to enable the divine purpose of the Universe to unfold. That is how important you are!‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Words reduce reality to something the human mind can grasp, which isn‘t very much. Language consists of five
basic sounds produced by the vocal cords. They are the vowels a, e, i, o, u. The other sounds are consonants
―Each person's life – each lifeform, in fact – represents a world, a unique way in which the universe experiences
itself.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Man Made 'God' in his own image. The eternal, the infinate, the unnameable was reduced to a mental idol that you
had to believe in and worship as 'my god' or 'our god'.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―To recognize one's own insanity is, of course, the arising of sanity, the beginning of healing and transcendence.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―All you realy need to do is accept this moment fully. You are then at ease in the here and now and at ease with
yourself.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―If her past were your past, her pain your pain, her level of consciousness your level of consciousness, you would
think and act exactly as she does. With this realization comes forgiveness, compassion and peace.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The quicker you are in attaching verbal or mental labels to things, people, or situations, the more shallow and
lifeless your reality becomes, and the more deadened you become to reality‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The story of the Zen Master whose only response was always "Is that so?" shows the good that comes through
inner nonresistance to events, that is to say, being at one with what happens. The story of the man whose commentwas invariably a laconic "Maybe" illustrates the wisdom of nonjudgment, and the story of the ring points to the fact of
impermanence which, when recognized, leads to nonattachment. Nonresistance, nonjudgement, and nonattachment
are the three aspects of true freedom and enlightened living.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―True Power is within, and it is available now.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―And then there is the universal role of adult. When you play that role, you take yourself and life very seriously.
Spontaneity, lightheartedness, and joy are not part of that role.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don't realize this because almost everyone is suffering
from it, so it is considered normal. This incessant mental noise prevents you from finding that realm of inner stillness
I directed the focus of her attention to what she was feeling inside her body and asked her to sense the emotion
directly, instead of through the filter of her unhappy thoughts, her unhappy story. She said she had come expecting
me to show her the way out of her unhappiness, not into it.
Reluctantly, however, she did what I asked her to do. Tears were rolling down her face, her whole body was shaking.
―At this moment, this is what you feel.‖ I said. ―There is nothing you can do about the fact that at this moment this is
what you feel. Now, instead of wanting this moment to be different from the way it is, which adds more pain to the
pain that is already there, is it possible for you to completely accept that this is what you feel right now?‖
She was quiet for a moment. Suddenly she looked impatient, as if she was about to get up, and said angrily, ―No, I
don't want to accept this.‖ ―Who is speaking?‖ I asked her. ―You or the unhappiness in you? Can you see that your
unhappiness about being unhappy is just another layer of unhappiness?‖ She became quiet again. ―I am not asking
you to do anything. All I'm asking is that you find out whether it is possible for you to allow those feelings to be there.
In other words, and this may sound strange, if you don't mind being unhappy, what happens to the unhappiness?
Don't you want to find out?‖
She looked puzzled briefly, and after a minute or so of sitting silently, I suddenly noticed a significant shift in her
energy field. She said, ―This is weird. I 'm still unhappy, but now there is space around it. It seems to matter less.‖
This was the first time I heard somebody put it like that: There is space around my unhappiness. That space, of
course, comes when there is inner acceptance of whatever you are experiencing in the present moment.
I didn't say much else, allowing her to be with the experience. Later she came to understand that the moment she
stopped identifying with the feeling, the old painful emotion that lived in her, the moment she put her attention on it
directly without trying to resist it, it could no longer control her thinking and so become mixed up with a mentally
constructed story called ―The Unhappy Me.‖ Another dimension had come into her life that transcended her personal
past – the dimension of Presence. Since you cannot be unhappy without an unhappy story, this was the end of her unhappiness. It was also the beginning of the end of her pain-body. Emotion in itself is not unhappiness. Only
emotion plus an unhappy story is unhappiness.
When our session came to an end, it was fulfilling to know that I had just witnessed the arising of Presence in another
human being. The very reason for our existence in human form is to bring that dimension of consciousness into this
world. I had also witnessed a diminishment of the pain-body, not through fighting it but through bringing the light of
consciousness to it.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―If increased meta-knowledge is not counter-balanced by a corresponding growth in consciousness then the
likelihood of psycho-spiritual dysfunction is great.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness‖
―Negativity is totally unnatural. It is a psychic pollutant, and there is a deep link between the poisoning and
destruction of nature and the vast negativity that has accumulated in the collective human psyche. No other life-form
on the planet knows negativity, only humans, just as no other life-form violates and poisons the Earth that sustains it.
Have you ever seen an unhappy flower or a stressed oak tree? Have you some across a depressed dolphin, a frog
that has a problem with self-esteem, a cat that cannot relax, or a bird that carries hatred and resentment? The only
animals that may occasionally experience something akin to negativity or show signs of neurotic behavior are thosethat live in close contact with humans and so link into the humans mind and its insanity.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Nothing ever happened in the past that can prevent you f rom being present now, and if the past cannot prevent you
from being present now, what power does it have?‖
Eckhart Tolle
―Throughout history humans have inflicted countless violent, cruel, and hurtful acts on each other, and continue to do
so. Are they all to be condemned; are they all guilty? Or are those acts simply expressions of unconsciousness, an
evolutionary stage that we are now growing out of?
Jesus‘ words, ―Forgive them for they do not know what they do,‖ also apply to yourself.‖
Eckhart Tolle ―whatever you fight, you strengthyen. What you resist, persists. "A New Earth":War is a mind set‖
Eckhart Tolle ―If your mind carries a heavy burden of past, you will experience more of the same. The past
perpetuates itself through lack of presence. The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the
future.‖
Eckhart Tolle ―So love is the recognition of oneness in a world of duality. This is the birth of God into the world of
form. Love makes the world less worldly, less dense, more transparent to the divine dimension, the light of
consciousness itself.‖
Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
―Acceptance of the unacceptable is the greatest source of grace in this world.‖
Eckhart Tolle
―The present moment is all you will ever have.‖
Eckhart Tolle
“I don't want it to end, and so, as every therapist knows, the ego does not want an end to its ―problems‖ becausethey are part of its identity. If no one will listen to my sad story, I can tell it to myself in my head, over and over, and
feel sorry for myself, and so have an identity as someone who is being treated unfairly by life or other people, fate or
God. It gives definition to my self-image, makes me into someone, and that is all that matters to the ego.‖
“ And then one day, you too disappear. Your armchair is still there. But instead of you sitting in it, there is just an
empty space. You went back to where you came from just a few years ago.‖
― Eckhart Tolle
“Die before you die and find that there is no death.‖
― Eckhart Tolle
Humans have learned to split the atom. Instead of killing ten or twenty people with a wooden club, one person can
now kill a million just by pushing a button. Is that real change?‖
― Eckhart Tolle
“The word God has become empty of meaning through thousands of years of misuse... By misuse, I mean that
people who have never glimpsed the realm of the sacred, the infinite vastness behind that word, use it with great
conviction, as if they knew what they are talking about. Or they argue against it, as if they knew what it is they are
denying. This misuse gives rise to absurd beliefs, assertions, and egoic delusions, such as "My or our God is the only
true God, and your God is false," or Nietzsche's famous statmeent "God is dead.‖
― Eckhart Tolle
“Instead of asking, ―what do I want from life?,‖ a more powerful question is, ―what does life want from me?‖
― Eckhart Tolle
“why Human should not look at the past?‖
―Eckhart Tolle
“Everything is honored, but nothing matters.‖
― Eckhart Tolle
“ A powerful spiritual practice is consciously to allow the diminishment of ego when it happens without attempting to
restore it. I recommend that you experiment with this from time to time. For example, when someone criticizes you,
blames you, or calls you names, instead of immediately retaliating or defending yourself – do nothing. Allow the self-
image to remain diminished and become alert to what that feels like deep inside you. For a few seconds, it may feel
uncomfortable, as if you had shrunk in size. Then you may sense an inner speciousness that feels intensely alive.
You haven't been diminished at all. In fact, you have expanded. You may then come to an amazing realization: Whenyou are seemingly diminished in some way and remain in absolute non-reaction, not just externally but also
internally, you realize that nothing real has been diminished, that through becoming ―less,‖ you become more. When
you no longer defend or attempt to strengthen the form of yourself, you step out of identification with form, with
mental self-image. Through becoming less (in the ego‘s perception), you in fact undergo an expansion and make
room for Being to come forward. True power, who you are beyond form, can then shine through the apparently
weakened form. This is what Jesus means when he says, ―Deny yourself‖ or ―Turn the other cheek.‖
Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don't realize this because almost everybody is suffering
from it, so it is considered normal. This incessant mental noise prevents you from finding that realm of inner stillness
that is inseparable from Being.
ECKHART TOLLE, The Power of Now
When you become aware of silence, immediately there is that state of inner still alertness. You are present. You havestepped out of thousands of years of collective human conditioning.
ECKHART TOLLE, Stillness Speaks
The Truth is inseparable from who you are. Yes, you are the Truth. If you look for it elsewhere, you will be deceived
every time.
ECKHART TOLLE, A New Earth
Dogmas--religious, political, scientific--arise out of erroneous belief that thought can encapsulate reality or truth.
Dogmas are collective conceptual prisons. And the strange thing is that people love their prison cells because they
give them a sense of security and a false sense of "I know."
ECKHART TOLLE, Stillness Speaks
Just as dogs love to chew bones, the mind loves to get its teeth into problems. That's why it does crossword puzzles
To stay present in everyday life, it helps to be deeply rooted within yourself; otherwise, the mind, which has incrediblemomentum, will drag you along like a wild river.
ECKHART TOLLE, The Power of Now
Don't seek happiness. If you seek it, you won't find it, because seeking is the antithesis of happiness.
ECKHART TOLLE, A New Earth
War is a mind-set, and all action that comes out of such a mind-set will either strengthen the enemy, the perceived
evil, or, if the war is won, will create a new enemy, a new evil equal to and often worse than the one that was
