THE REAR PANEL-MOUNTED TRANSDUCER CONNECTORS AREEMITTING EXTREMELY HIGH VOLTAGE RADIO-FREQUENCYPULSES. THESE CONNECTORS ARE COVERED WITH ASCREW-LOCKED PROTECTIVE RUBBER CAP WHEN THEEQUIPMENT IS INITIALLY DELIVERED,
TO AVOID COMING INTO CONTACT ACCIDENTALLY WITH THECONNECTOR PINS, BE SURE TO PLACE THE PROTECTIVE CAP:
. OVER THE UNUSED, EXPOSEO CONNECTOR' IF THEEQUIPMENT HAS A SINGLE TRANSDUCER PLUGGED IN, OR
. OVER EACH CONNECTOR WHENEVER EXPOSED PINSBECOME EASILY ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS WHEN EITHER

THE ACCURACY OF THE ON-SCREEN DEPTH READOUT ISAFFECTED BY WATER TEMPERATURE, SALINITY DEPTH ANDOTHER UNDERWATER CONDITIONS AS WELL AS THE SHIP'SROLL AND PITCH, HEEL AND TRIM.
TAKE THESE POSSIBLE ERROR_CAUSING FACTORS INTOCONSIDERATION WHEN USING fHE DEPTH READOUT, SUCH ASWHEN NAVIGATING SHALLOW AREAS OR IN APPLICATIONSWHERE ACCURATE DEPTH READING IS CRITICAL.
DURING SHALLOW WATER OPERATION, THE EQUIPMENT MAYOCCASIONALLY READ TWICE THE ACTUAL DEPTH BY LOCKINGONTO THE .lSECOND BOTTOM ECHO.
THE DIGITAL DEPTH READOUT SHOULD BE COMPARED WITHTHE GRAPHIC BOTTOM INDICATION OR WITH SOUNDINGS DATAIN OFFICIAL PAPER CHARTS TO DETERMINE THE TRUE DEPTH.

the Model F-2000 is a dual frequency navigation echo sounder desisaed to comply fullywith IMO Resolution MSC. ?4(69) Annex 4.

A battery.-backed realtine calendar clock is built in to indicate the date and time inUTC or in the desircd local tine. With an appmpdate GPS sensor plugged in, the timeis automaticaly Fefercnced to the atomic precision GPS time.
Up to 24 hous of sounding data will be stored in non-volatile memory at apFoximatelytwrsecond iDtervals, together with associated date and time, mnge md frequency inuse plus position dd water tenperature, and can be played back easily with a devoiedkey. The user can revie* the stored data acrcss any 1s-minute segment at any point intime ove! ihe past 24 hous though a specially desisned windo$,. Vuious types of data stored in non volatile memorv can be output via rear panel
connectors (RS-232C/R922 and llo DATA ports) for processing or analvsis in
