Comments from Previous Visitors (excerpt)

We showcased our databank and e-Book products at eBooks this year. We had discussions with nearly 40 visitors, from Japan, China, Taiwan, and South America, including e-Book distributors, printing companies, agents, publishers, museums, and libraries. Through the meetings at eBooks, we are now following up some clients. I am sure we will have long-term business with these clients, and we are satisfied with exhibiting this year.

United Digital Publication (Taiwan)

Editor in Chief

Our company provides solutions for e-Book digitalisation. Our products attracted about 100 visitors during the show including many publishers and IT-related companies. Through the meetings we had at eBooks, we are now negotiating with 10 customers. If successful, we will be able to develop these businesses to JPY 100 million a year. We are satisfied with this show.

UANGEL (Korea)

Business Innovation Department/Sales Manager

We are absolutely satisfied that the show was of much better use to our business than those in many other international cities. We were able to introduce our company and products to some high-quality professionals from the greater Asian market. We met 150-200 individuals/companies over 3 days. This allowed us to identify a core group of partners/distributors with whom we can work. In addition, we made several agreements with distributors, which have now given us access to Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan.

LIMERICK ENGLISH.COM (Ireland)

Business Development

Our publishing company operates a global e-Book distribution business. The quality of attendees was of the highest level. We met business professionals from around the world including Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, and India. We are extremely satisfied with e-Book Expo Tokyo, and have already reserved our booth for next year.

Publish On Demand Global (USA)

Managing Director

We publish 3~5 English learning titles every year in Taiwan. We are planning to digitalise these text books and aim to sell more than 3,000 e-books every year. Therefore, we visited eBooks to find some partners who provide digitalisation services and platforms. We had detailed discussions with 2 companies and are still negotiating with them. We hope we can expand our e-book business with these excellent partners.

ELITE English Language Institute of Testing and Education (Taiwan)

Dean

We are the largest on-line book store in Taiwan. We visited eBooks to collect the latest information and find some partners for our e-book business. During the show we had meetings with 3 companies that provide e-book platforms, and are still in discussions with them now. eBooks is very useful for our business and we hope to come back next year.

Books.Com (Taiwan)

New Business Model Team Project Manager

We attended eBooks with more than 40 committee staff and collaborators, to find out how our local university presses can produce e-text books. We visited all kinds of exhibitor, especially e-Book stores and e-Book builders. We had 3 business meetings and inquired for some samples to bring back to Thailand. The show gave us a lot of help, and we hope to come back to the show next year.

Chulalongkorn University Press. (Thailand)

General Manager

We publish 5 magazines in Hong Kong. 2 were digitalised in 2011. Now, we are planning to develop another 2 magazines’ e-books in 5 or 6 formats. To find some new technologies for our e-magazines, 14 members visited the show and had meetings with 5 companies who provide digitalisation software. eBooks is a great show for us to learn about the trend of e-books and we hope can come back next year.

New Media (Hong Kong)

Senior Production Officer

We visited eBooks to select companies that make e-Books on EPUB3.0. During the show, we had fruitful business discussions with 5 companies and also got a lot of new information. We are satisfied that the show was useful and effective for selecting business partners.

booklista (Japan)

Platform Service Department Manager

Because we are going to distribute our magazine weekly as digital content, we visited eBooks to select some partners. We compared various solutions during the show and finally made our order worth about JPY 4 million.
