CONNECTIONS PROGRAM

“The mission of the White Plains City School District is to educate and inspire all students, while nurturing their dreams, so they learn continually, think critically, pursue their aspirations and contribute to a diverse and dynamic world.”

Connections is a structured time during the school day that provides all students the opportunity to feel connected to self, school, and community in a small group setting.

Page 15: Eastview Sixth Grade 2013-2014

WHY A CONNECTIONS PROGRAM?

A “Connections” program provides opportunities for:

• A strong connection with at least one adult in a small group setting

• Long and short term goal-setting

• Emotional and social growth

• Meaningful participation in school and community
