Within walking distance from campus, Wayne offers an array of college age and family friendly activities. There are various “Mom & Pop” stores, delicious and unique restaurants and a plethora of coffee shops.

Less than a 10-minute drive from campus is King of Prussia Mall, one of the nation’s largest malls with 3 million square feet of retail space.

Rich in culture and history, Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, is located 18 miles from Eastern. Spend the day in Philly and tour the original capital of the United States. Treat yourself to a Philly cheesesteak, catch a live show at a local venue or travel from museum to museum enjoying breath taking art.

Gear up and hit the slopes. Whether you are a skier or snowboarder, the fresh powder is just an hour and a half away.

Horse and buggies, farms and animals. Visit the Pennsylvania Dutch area for some of the freshest baked goods or spend a few hours shopping at the Lancaster Outlet Malls. By car, Lancaster is about an hour and fifteen minutes; by buggy, it may take longer.

For a more relaxed day, travel to Valley Forge Park for a restful picnic, scenic jog, or historic exploration. Just 15 minutes away!

Pack your sunscreen, flip-flops and swimsuit and head out for the day to the sandy shores of New Jersey. Lay out to tan, take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean, and win a prize on the boardwalk. Depending on where you go, the Jersey Shore is about an hour and half to two hours away.
