Sterling Vehicle Tampering: A resident reported that an unknown White male entered his vehicle and was rummaging through it. He confronted the male who left the area. The victim initially declined to file a report regarding the incident. The following day he discovered a tire on his vehicle was damaged. Sterling Indecent Exposure: The victim reported she was stopped on the side of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail when an unknown male exposed himself. The victim walked away from the subject. Sterling Traffic Stop/Stolen Firearm/Felony: An LCSO Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and the driver was determined to be unlicensed. A firearm was located inside the vehicle, and it was discovered it was reported stolen out of Prince William County. The driver, Nathan S. Franks, 26, of Ashburn was charged with Transport Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Transport Ammunition by Convicted Felon, Improper Mounting of Tags, Operate Unregistered Vehicle, Operate Uninsured Vehicle, No Driver’s License, Fictitious Registration, and Defective Equipment. Franks remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond. SO210012684 08/07/21 6:05 a.m. Route 28/Route 7 Sterling Assault: The victim reported she was traveling in the area of Route 28/Route 7 when another driver began driving aggressively next to her. The driver exited his vehicle at a red traffic signal and slapped her through an open window. The victim reported she was not injured. The victim declined to pursue charges at this time.
