Easter in Slovakia is a combination of the Christian and

pagan traditions.

• In Slovakia tradition is a major part of the way of life of the people. It ties them with the past and serves as a common link with families and the future. • It preserves the unique heritage of their religious and ethnic past. The Easter celebration may will be the cornerstone of the Slavic tradition and the focal point of the culture. •There is a debate as to whether these traditions will survive. There is no question, however, that many of the Easter traditions begun in Slovakia influence the celebration of Easter around the world.

• Making your own Easter eggs is a fun way to celebrate Easter. You can decorate your eggs as simple or fancy as you want! Create a tradition by decorating eggs every year. Before you can decorate the eggs, you need to get the inside of the egg out, without breaking the shell! It's really quite simple to do. How? You blow the egg out.

•

• Gather together these things:

• eggs
