Hours of Operation: Our service is open from 7:00am – 6:00pm. Cost: $51.00 per day per person. On excursion days or days on which community entertainment is
provided, an additional cost is applicable. Daily costs are listed on the program at the back of this booklet.
Bookings: The holiday care booking form must be completed (FOR ALL DATES) and given to the Co-ordinator by Wednesday 28th March. Bookings received after COB (6pm) Wednesday 28th March will incur an additional late booking fee of $5 per child per day attending. Conditions: Holiday Care bookings will only be accepted through completion of the appropriate booking form distributed with the program. Holiday Care bookings will only be accepted if the family account for all previous care is paid in full. All fees in relation to Holiday Care must be paid on receipt of holiday statement. Accounts are e-mailed out on the Wednesday before Holiday Care starts. Failure to make payment may result in an automatic cancellation of bookings. Cancellations.
➢ Cancellations made with less than 7 days notice will be charged the full fee for the session, including any incursion/excursion fee costs.
➢ Cancellations made with 7 days notice or more, will incur a fee equal to half the standard daily cost, plus any additional incursion/excursion costs.
Requirements for children Each day, please ensure that your child has: Hat (wide brimmed not a cap with name marked clearly on it. No hat, no play outside) Sensible/Comfy sun safe clothing that can get wet/messy (or a change of clothes for especially messy days!) Sensible/comfy shoes (no shoes with heels) Apply sun block at home. Centre will provide sunscreen throughout the day. Please provide your own brand of sunscreen if your child has any allergies or aversions to the YOSHC sunscreen Ample lunch and drinks (except where stated otherwise) Please ensure you provide a water bottle for your child. Red shirt for excursion days
We do not supply lunch! (Unless Specified) Please consider freezer blocks or appropriate foods for the hot summer months as we are not able to provide fridge space for all the children. We also ask that you do not send with your child any food that requires preparation at the centre e.g. Noodles. The management committee request that no nut products such as Peanut Butter or Nutella be brought to the centre, in order for the centre to meet the requirements of duty of care. Any queries can be directed to the Co-ordinator.
Yeronga Outside School Hours Care does not take responsibility for any property that your child brings to the centre whilst in our care, this includes toys, clothing, bikes, jewellery, helmets, CDs, DVDs, computer games etc. We ask that all toys are to be left at home.
REMINDER: Yeronga Outside School Hours Care staff reserve the right to request a photo id of parents/guardians, relatives, school and community. This ensures the safety of the children and staff of YOSHC.
EXTRA INFORMATION + WHAT TO BRING
• PLEASE NOTE! WE DO MESSY, MUDDY, WET, ACTIVE (AND FUN!) PLAY
EVERYDAY OVER THE HOLIDAYS. PLEASE WEAR APPROPRIATE (OLD!
No special, new, precious outfits!) CLOTHES AND PACK A SPARE SET +
OLD TOWEL TO CHANGE!
• Over the Easter holidays we will be having a number of pool days where the afternoon
will be spent at the Yeronga Park Pool (between 12.30pm – 3.30pm). Please ensure
your child has a hat, togs, towel, goggles and a sunsafe shirt. YOSHC will advise
children to apply and reapply sunscreen and zinc throughout the afternoon. They will
also need to bring Lunch (for before the pool) and a large water bottle. Canteen facili-
ties WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE at the pool (please ensure lunch is packed from home).
Please ensure your child/ren has a hat, togs and rash shirt, towel and spare clothes
to change into at the end of the day.

• On Wednesday 4th of April as part of our Easter Bonanza Day, we will be having an
afternoon of water and mud play, mud kitchens and other messy fun! Children must
have OLD clothes that can get messy and muddy, including shoes, as well as a
towel and change of clothes for later in the day.
• On Friday the 6th of April we will be going to the Southbank Cinemas. Children will
need to be at YOSHC by 8.45am. We will be travelling to and
from the South Bank precinct by train. We will be spending ei-
ther the morning session or the afternoon session at the mov-
ies seeing ‘Early Man ' rated PG. We will have lunch at South-
bank Parklands (children's own lunch) and spend the alter-
nate session in the Parklands. (More specific timing will be-
come available once cinema times are released.) Please en-
sure your child has adequate lunch (they eat a lot on excur-
sion days!) and that they have sensible walking shoes, a
wide-brimmed hat and large waterbottle. We will be return-
ing to the centre at approximately 3.30pm.The movie we will be
watching is called Early Man:
Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed
the earth, Early Man tells the story of Dug, along with sidekick Hognob as they unite
his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age City to save their
home
Please ensure your child wears a red shirt on excursion days for easier identification.
• On Monday the 9th of April, we will be having a visit
from Bazil Grumble who will be delivering their 90 mi-
nute Fantastic Mr Fox Story to Stage incursion. Please
ensure your children bring their sense of adventure for
some creative fun!
From Bazil Grumble: “Inspired by the delightful tale of
Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, children will engage in an
interactive drama and puppetry workshop. They will
have an opportunity to explore the themes and charac-
ters of the story through creative performance tech-
niques with a focus on voice and movement. To top it all
off they will make their very own amazing talking fox
puppet to keep so they can continue their storytelling at home! .”
• On Wednesday the 11th of April we will be having an excursion day. In the morning we
will be visiting Mt Gravatt Mini Golf to play
mini golf and foot-golf! Afterwards we will travel
to Broadwater Park in Mansfield to enjoy our
lunch and play in the park. We will be travelling
during the day on private bus. Please ensure
your child wears sunsafe clothes, comforta-
ble shoes and a sunsafe hat and brings am-
ple lunch and water. Remember they eat a lot
on excursion days! Children must be at
YOSHC by 8.30am and we will return at ap-
proximately 3pm.

• If your child / children are attending Holiday Care, we will be showing PG rated movies
as a part of our daily activities. If you do not want your child to watch a PG movie please
speak to the coordinator on duty. Children will have the choice as to whether they’d like
to watch the movie or partake in another activity.
• If your child needs to be administered medication during Holiday Care, the medication
must be: in its original packaging, with the prescribed dosage and the child’s name
printed on it. Without this, we cannot administer medication – this includes Nurofen &
Panadol.

Swimming Permission and Abilities Form
During Holiday Care we will have a number of swimming days. Please check the program page at the back of the booklet to ensure you get the days right
and don't forget your togs!
The pool days will be held at Yeronga Pool, from approximately 12.30pm to 3:30 pm. Please fill in this form if you will be using the service on a
swimming day.
I hereby give permission for my child/ren to visit and walk to Yeronga Pool whilst under the supervision of YOSHC staff. I am aware that everybody who attends the centre on Pool Excursion Days will have to take part in the excursion to the pool as there will be no staff remaining at the centre to supervise. Children will be supervised at a ratio of 1:5. Coordinating staff yet to be confirmed.

Please note that your child will need to have: • Hat, Goggles, Towel
• Lunch and Water Bottle. • a swim shirt (rashie) on at all times while at the pool. NB: All children will be supervised at a ratio of 1 supervisor for 5 children, regardless of their ability or where they are swimming. The swimming excursion incurs the extra fee of $12.00 due to swimming entry and additional staffing costs. Children will be allocated a wrist band according to their swimming ability to ensure YOSHC Staff know exactly where they should be swimming. I understand a risk assessment for the swimming visit has been conducted and is available to view on request.
A reminder that there will be no canteen facilities on pool days. We will provide a ‘treat afternoon tea’ (TBC. Check menu with coordinator on the day) on our return to YOSHC.
