East of England Covid-19 Testing Sites

These slides detail arrangements for testing health and social care staff and

other eligible groups, in line with local and national guidance. This slide pack

does not include the arrangements for testing patients, or residents of care

and nursing homes, or residents in residential mental health and learning

disability services, or prisoners.

There are currently 23 fixed swabbing/testing sites and 10 mobile testing units in the East of England (EoE) region.

Home testing is also available for those who cannot attend one of these sites.

• Step 1: Check that you meet the current eligibility requirements at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-getting-tested

• Step 2: If you are a key worker, ask your employer to refer you for a test. Employers of key workers have preferential access to testing at some test centres (see following slides). Otherwise you can self-refer for a test: https://www.gov.uk/apply-coronavirus-test

• Step 3: Once you have been referred for a test you will be given specific instructions for testing.

• Step 4: You will be informed of the test result, either by your employer or directly (depending how you were referred and which test centre you attended).

• Step 5: Once you have your test result, please contact your employer to discuss the next steps.
