• The Purpose of CTC – We bring together the largest, most dynamic,

most diverse, most passionate group of cyclists in the country as an independent organisation working for and representing cycling and cyclists.

• 30 years’ cycling experience

• Most of working life spent with bikes

• Based at Alice Holt Forest and EHDC

• Working closely with Liz Murray, EHDC, Petersfield

• Role to develop projects and recruit Champions

Alice Holt Forest

• Our initial base and starting point

• Forestry Commission keen to increase access to forest by some groups

• Beautiful woodland with fairly easy trails

• Near centres of population in Bordon, Alton and Farnham

• Some limitations for new cyclists needing very easy terrain

Inclusive Cycling

• EHCFA’s major focus so far

• Launched on 5th May

• Learning, physical and sensory Impairments

• Range of equipment

• Over 200 direct beneficiaries

• Regular Thursday morning sessions, plus others

Forest Discovery Rides

• Easy, accessible rides• Expert help on hand• A reason to ride a bike• Not aimed at any

specific group• An opportunity for old,

convalescent, nervous or just out-of-practice

Disability Multi-Sports Club

• EHDC initiative

• Based at Treloar’s School

• Weekly, during term-time

• A different sport each week, with inclusive versions

• 3 cycling sessions enjoyed so far

Children in Need Ride

• Ride organised by Terri Bryant

• We provided volunteer helpers

• A great way to work – providing assistance and support to individuals and groups promoting community cycling

Volunteering

• Vital in order to continue the sustainability of the project

• Around 10 volunteers so far

• Variety of skills and talents

• Training provided for ‘Cycling Champions’
